I go in for an apt tomorrow to check my levels and do an ultra sound to see how my ovaries and follicles look. Not sick anymore and haven't had anymore bad side effects. The weirdest thing is that I can feel my ovaries, especially when I'm walking. Its not painful, but a little uncomfortable. Last night and today was much better. Not as tired today. I have a blood draw and an ultra sound tomorrow! Hope everything is on the right track! Still going pretty well! Then the rest of the night was just fine!

8 little embryos  - Our IVF Journey

http://vanderwerff.weebly.com/blog/8-little-embryos

The perfect number 8! They have all had cells taken from them, frozen, and then the cells sent to California for some testing. Can't wait to hear how those cells look! I am soooo glad I went in on Wednesday to get the fluid drained. I felt better immediately! I look almost back to my normal self. I am still taking it pretty easy and still on Lovenox for another week and a half, which is fine by me. I rather do that than get a blood clot! Create a free website.

I went in for a blood draw on Monday to check my HCG levels. They called me back 6 hours later with the great news! My levels were 68.4. They like to see them in the 100's, so they wanted me in on Wednesday for another blood draw. This time it was 53.4. Not good news. They told me when numbers go down it means you miscarried. Well.that sucks! It was really hard at first and shed a few tears, but I feel great now, honestly. I was just excited to know I could get pregnant! We talked to my Dr. today and...

Day 8  - Our IVF Journey

http://vanderwerff.weebly.com/blog/day-8

I still feel great! I did gain 5 lbs over night, I'm okay with that because I thought I would be gaining a lot more! I did an ultra sound and blood draw today. When I first started my levels were at 55, today I was at 1,548. The nurse told me everything is looking awesome and that I will probably have a lot of great eggs! It's even possible I will do my trigger shot tomorrow and egg retrieval on Thursday. I have another ultrasound and blood draw tomorrow to see how things look. That's just what we did!

Day 9 - Our IVF Journey

http://vanderwerff.weebly.com/blog/day-9

My appointment went great this morning! My estradiol levels were 2,348 and they said my ovaries are nice and ready! I did my trigger shot tonight at 6:30! It was 6:00 and I was showing Ryan how to do it. This shot needs to be given in the butt with a big old needle, deep in the muscle. Ryan was to nervous so we rushed to a friends house who is a nurse to help us out! We got there at 6:28, mixed the drugs and she stuck me good! Thanks Kristy for your help today! I know, right! Liz and Logan: July 2015

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 15, 2015. I hate going this long between updates! It has been a month since I've documented Austin's life here at home and a lot has been going on. Unfortunately the entire past month hasn't been spent at home. We were so sad to be back in the hospital but thankfully his stay wasn't too long this time around! We got up to the ED around 7:00pm and didn't make it to our room until after 11:30pm. Talk about an exhausting evening! We asked the liver specialists if Rh disease is typically this...

Liz and Logan: Austin Michael Jorgensen

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2015/05/austin-michael-jorgensen.html

Saturday, May 16, 2015. To those of you that read my blog but don't follow us on social media, our little Austin is here! He obviously arrived earlier than expected and the past week has been a whirlwind, which is why I haven't gotten an update posted until now. Putting that foley balloon in and inflating it was no fun! I was a bit bummed when they said it would take 12 hours for the balloon to do its job because I knew we'd be in for a long night. The minute he walked in the room we all felt 100x better!

Liz and Logan: April 2015

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 24, 2015. What a happy week! Transfusion #1 finally happened and it couldn't have gone better! I want to remember as many details as possible so I apologize in advance for this post being quite wordy. Hopefully it's not too hard to follow! We learned pretty quickly that Austin was in need of a transfusion and there would be no more putting it off. The level came back at 66 which clearly put him in "A". A different doctor even confirmed with me afterwards that they were very surprised he was...

Liz and Logan: December 2014

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 26, 2014. It feels good to be 15 weeks! Food choice of the week: A bagel and cream cheese. I'm sure I won't want anything to do with bagels next week! During my pregnancy with Eli I didn't get any stretch marks on my stomach at all but I had them all over my chest. I never stressed about them and didn't really care if I got them or not. I've always figured that's just part of pregnancy! A few people have asked so for those that are wondering: My plan this time is the same as last time&#4...

Liz and Logan: January 2015

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 30, 2015. 20 Weeks and a Twist. So, what does this mean for Austin and this pregnancy? If I just confused you as you read, below is a simple but helpful diagram that explains Rh Disease. Some women become sensitized after their initial blood work so it's not caught during their pregnancy and then serious things can happen so we are very grateful this was detected early on. I was initially quite discouraged about having to deliver at IMC rather than Riverton because I may have to see a new...

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 30, 2015. Happy 3 weeks to our sweet boy! It has been awhile, I know. It has been determined that Austin has neonatal diabetes but we're waiting for genetic testing results that should hopefully tell us if it's something he will grow out of or if it's permanent. We won't receive the test results until July so in the mean time we have been focusing on typical preemie milestones like gaining weight and teaching him to eat. Aside from his wacky sugar levels, Austin is doing really well! He che...

Liz and Logan: November 2014

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Halloween and a Birthday Dinner! Halloween is such a fun time of the year! The night after Halloween is when we had our annual Halloween party with our friends from high school. This was our fourth year doing it and, as always, it was a lot of fun! Three years ago during this party the Andersens announced they were having a baby so we always hold out hope that someone will carry on the tradition. Unfortunately it didn't happen this year! In my family we always celebrate birthd...

Liz and Logan: Home Sweet Home

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2015/06/home-sweet-home.html

Sunday, June 14, 2015. The team had been hinting at a Friday, June 12th discharge for a little while but we didn't dare share the news until it was official. It was so wonderful hearing during rounds that morning that we were all set to go! Since coming home, Austin has done so well! He is still on a small whiff of oxygen but shouldn't be for too long. Aside from that, he is thriving! June 14, 2015 at 2:35 PM. June 14, 2015 at 4:38 PM. What an amazing miracle! What a handsome little one! June 18, 2015 at...

Liz and Logan: February 2015

http://jorgensenjargon.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 27, 2015. He is doing great! Is what we were hoping to hear at MCA Scan #3 and those were the doctor's words exactly! They did a growth scan first and little Austin was measuring right where he should be for how far along I am so that was great to see/hear. After checking his growth, they checked the blood flow to his brain and it came back around 25 which is still in the "safe" zone, right where we want him. We are thrilled! I've included the graph again for anyone that's interested.
