Paris Vegan: October 2013
http://www.parisvegan.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Not many people go vegan in Paris. I did in 2007. Here's how that's working out. Monday, 28 October 2013. The Vegg: vegan egg yolk. Does the idea of a vegan egg yolk freak you out? Yeah, it kind of freaked me out at first. But worry not, the Vegg is simply a mix of natural ingredients (like nutritional yeast and black salt) to which you add water. It then becomes very similar to egg yolk, in a space food magic kind of way. It's tasty and useful. A couple of weeks ago, the lovely people behind the Vegg.

Iron Chef Vegan: January 2013
http://ironchefvegan.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Vegan cuisine reigns supreme! Tuesday, 8 January 2013. So after we went to lunch on Sunday, Susan and I hit up the asian grocery stores in the valley. We visited a Thai grocer and Burlington. I stocked up on the lamyong fake meats (they had the 'good' veggie 'ham' FINALLY) and bought this interesting package:. So I made it for dinner on Monday night after my usual bike ride (72.1km so far this year). I opened the package to reveal this tiny ziplock bag:. Not suspicious at all. Added to the broth:. The fa...

Iron Chef Vegan: December 2012
http://ironchefvegan.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Vegan cuisine reigns supreme! Sunday, 2 December 2012. Day 8: Bodega Bay to Fort Bragg. We awoke on Day 8 ready for more Yves "Bacon". Here you see it grilled with Daiya cheeze. Another trip favourite. We went for a walk along the coastline at Bodega Bay. It was freaking gorgeous:. We saw a DEER! It ran away too quickly for us to take a photo. Still, very rad. Then we headed inland a little and visited Armstrong Grove. Large trees. There may have been actual hugging of trees. Then we had a pizetta - that...

Iron Chef Vegan: August 2013
http://ironchefvegan.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Vegan cuisine reigns supreme! Tuesday, 27 August 2013. So I signed up for Vegan Mofo. Again this year. I have time for once (I'm not travelling, and I'm not studying)! I'm hoping to do 5 posts a week. I was thinking of a theme a week, and the only one I have confirmed in my mind is: one woman, one kilo of beans - I'll take one kilo of dried black beans and make five or so meals with it. I'm hoping to not do Mexican for every meal (must Google other bean recipes! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Something Raw,...

Vegan cuisine reigns supreme! Tuesday, 24 September 2013. VeganMofo 2013: Post 20–Healthy(ish) Italian! I made it to 20 posts in 24 days! Who’d thunk it? Is that how you spell that? Anyway, after consuming WAY TOO MUCH peanut butter fudge on Sunday (I needed the energy while I cleaned the house (for the first time since about April – the vacuum cleaner represses me by its very existence, ok? Bruschetta – feeds two hungry vegans for an entree. 1 small red onion, chopped finely. Fresh cracked black pepper.

Iron Chef Vegan: December 2013
http://ironchefvegan.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Vegan cuisine reigns supreme! Sunday, 1 December 2013. Pumpkin Pie and Ice Cream. So it’s been a while. I got jealous of all the posts from Americans with Thanksgiving meals, so I made pumpkin pie. Crust: The basic crust from Pies and Tarts with Heart. Filling: Pumpkin pie from Vegan Pie in the Sky. Ice Cream: Vanilla from Vegan Scoop. FINALLY, a crust recipe that doesn’t go to mush! It was really good. Next time I think I’ll go for the Toasted Cinnamon Ice Cream from Vegan A La Mode. Vegan Pie in the Sky.

Iron Chef Vegan: June 2014
http://ironchefvegan.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Vegan cuisine reigns supreme! Sunday, 1 June 2014. VeganMofo 2013: Day 3-in which I succumb to the deliciousness that is sugar. There are two things I love about being vegan: the first is carbohydrates, the second is sugar (yes, I know carbohydrates convert to sugar in the body). I also had an embarrassment of strawberries. Here’s the result:. It was of a goodly and delicious quality. I’m definitely making it again! Vegan Pie in the Sky. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Otherwise, comment anyway! August 20, 2...
