I found myself at the Techcrunch Disrupt Hackathon on June 21, 2011 without any clue what I would be making. In 24 hours, I met three awesome guys and built a cool HTML5 game. We ended up receiving honorable mention and appearing in an article on TechCrunch. To save time, we developed the game in parallel: I built the Javascript engine, Dmitri wrote the backend API server to pull from the Crunchbase, and Adrian and Chris developed game mechanics, graphics, and sounds. Next project →. Less than 24 hours.

Sunday, November 27, 2011. B1llboard: old yet compelling hack. As Facebook likes to point out, the amount of data we share online is growing exponentially. This of course means that there is plenty of opportunity to aggregate and present social data in value-added ways. Start-ups like ShoutFlow. And I indulged in this type of feature-plugging during the TechCrunch Disrupt. Hackathon back in May. Are trying to change that). Here's the 40sec live demo:. Personal favorites from Disrupt: (all somewhat artsy:).
