We are on a Highway 40 frontage road and enjoying the relief of being off the main road – whew! We’ll have to rejoin Highway 40 in about 20 miles, but it should be quieter by then – here’s hoping! Don’s dressed in the hunter’s orange – the constant gunshot heard from the highway can be quite unnerving. Don running Arrowhead trail next to Mt Nebo.

Meeting adventure, meeting people, meeting life head on. A Day of Two Halves. September 20, 2013. Highway 50 – long, desolate stretches. Several miles out of Dayton, I took a heavy-duty pain killer. I didn’t expect any results, but 30 minutes later, all at once, I realised I felt no pain at all. My legs and feet felt like they had been lovingly knitted by some wee Scottish granny sitting by her fireside. They were loose and 100% pain free, but felt completely strong. It sounds highly dangerous to have someone that names with H because shes a violent monster truck that will attack any meanies she sees in streets or roads .
