Verbal Diarrhowan

For when 140 characters are not enough. Sunday, 13 January 2013. A Little Bit Dyspraxic. Last year we started the process of getting Sam observed by medical professionals to see if he was considered dyspraxic (or having Developmental Co-ordination Disorder, the new term for it), and to get him (hopefully) some Occupational Therapy help with his hand - he's unable to make a pincer grip without it causing him pain and discomfort which means he holds a pen in a rather unusual manner. This leaves me with som...

Verbal Diarrhowan: March 2012

http://verbaldiarrhowan.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

For when 140 characters are not enough. Saturday, 10 March 2012. Jacob's school celebrated World Book Day by inviting all the kids to go dressed up as their favourite character from a book. Now, what this normally means is that the kids just turn up dressed in whatever fancy dress they have at home and so you get loads of film and tv characters, footballers etc, and not many actual book characters. Here he is in all his Gaulish Glory:-. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow Me Follow (down to the hollow).

Verbal Diarrhowan: Dyspraxia

http://verbaldiarrhowan.blogspot.com/2012/08/dyspraxia.html

For when 140 characters are not enough. Thursday, 2 August 2012. As parents, we had observed this without too much concern and a certain amount of amusement - Sam is totally adorable in his clumsy endeavours. However, last March his teacher raised concerns about his handwriting and his inability to hold his pencil in the requisite pincer grip, and I decided that perhaps we should be more proactive about the whole situation. I read an article on teaching dyspraxic children. Blogs Wot I Read.

Verbal Diarrhowan: October 2011

http://verbaldiarrhowan.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

For when 140 characters are not enough. Friday, 28 October 2011. Halfway through Half Term. We normally decamp to my Mum's for October half term, but as the puppy isn't still out of her vaccination quarantine we'd have been severely limited as to what we could have done there. Plus, Mum doesn't have an enclosed back garden. So, stay at home and see what York has to offer. We've made a roman mosaic of Perry the Platypus! It seems to work in the advert. Verbal Diarrhowan: September 2011

http://verbaldiarrhowan.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

For when 140 characters are not enough. Tuesday, 27 September 2011. I can't believe I'm thinking of this already! As the temperature heads up towards the mid 20s, I've been contemplating buying the dried fruit necessary to make christmas cakes and puddings, and on Sunday I ordered this. My only beef with it is that while Jacob will adore this, Sam would much prefer a Lego City one. But at that price, it's not going to happen! Thursday, 22 September 2011. If only they were, like Tigger, the only one.

Verbal Diarrhowan: 2012, the year when absolutely nothing happened?

http://verbaldiarrhowan.blogspot.com/2013/01/2012-year-when-absolutely-nothing.html

For when 140 characters are not enough. Tuesday, 1 January 2013. 2012, the year when absolutely nothing happened? It wasn't a bad year, but it wasn't a sparkling year either. From my point of view, no massive life-changing events, no change in status from the end of last year to the beginning of this one, not one event where I can look back and say "Look! This is what we did in 2012.". And here is again, back in September 2012, looking about 13:-. The dieting has also led me to be rather more proactive i...

verbal diarrhea

Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Once we had painted our walls I felt like our white door just blended right in to the wall. I went to Benjamin Moore and chose Covington Blue and I feel like it turned out really well! The "before" photos were taken at 2 in the afternoon with the lights on in the room and the "after" photos were taken at 7:30pm with the lights on. Do you notice how dark it looked when the walls were brown and with that dark accent wall? So happy with how bright it is now! The lighting is bad in b...

Verbal Diarrhea

Stuff needs to be said…. Keep on keepin’ on…. Although I’m fairly happy, I feel like I’m in a constant state of uneasiness right now. Life changes (most notably, an upcoming move) have me on edge. I’m excited about the prospect of re-locating and starting fresh, but financial concerns and roommate drama are weighing heavy on my mind. Let’s hope in a couple months, this is all behind me, and I’m happily settled into my new life. One, two, Freddy’s comin’ for you…. A Nightmare on Elm Street. One of them wr...

A biographical movie - Double letter, triple word score 42 points. I'm trying to stay on top of my blog a day or at least 5 days a week so I am getting my words from http:/ www.scrabble.com/. And their word of the day to generate ideas for my entries). Truth be told, I've never thought about who would play me if Hollywood ever decided to make a movie about me. I would have enough problems trying to figure out what they would discuss in the movie. And used it to have a small career in teaching. Eventu...
