They were accidentally printed with 2/15 as the date - - I printed them on 2/15 but students did not get them until 2/16.This notices show work from the beginning of the grading period up to now. Saturday, January 2, 2010. State proposes changes to Social Studies K-12. NEW ESSENTIAL STANDARDS FOR SOCIAL STUDIES PROPOSED. As part of the Accountability and Curriculum Reform Effort (ACRE) the NC Department of Public Instruction is writing new Essential Standards for K-12 Social Studies. It is important that educators and parents. Read these new standards and be aware of the proposed changes. Significant changes in the content of social studies at several grade levels are proposed.

Monday, March 30, 2009. Assessments scheduled for March 31 and April 1. On Tuesday, March 31, 2009, and Wednesday April 1, 2009 students in our team will take the school system's assessments. Reading will be on the first day, and math will be on the second day. In the sixth grade we will test from homeroom (8:25) to time for electives (10:35).
