Love Blooms Here: February 2015
http://tiftimes.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2015. In a strange turn of events, Taylee highjacked our Valentine's Day this year. Luckily for us, we were happy to share with her! In the couple of weeks prior to Valentine's, Kent and I each toted her around with us putting together a couple small gifts and surprises for each other. Apparently she caught on to the excitement and decided Valentine's Day was awesome! Apparently Valentine's gifts are one of the perks of being "half an only child.". I sure am one lucky mama! A new lit...

Love Blooms Here: Costa Rica Day Two!
http://tiftimes.blogspot.com/2015/04/costa-rica-day-two.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Costa Rica Day Two! Our second day in Costa Rica, or rather our first full. Day in CR had us going on our first adventure of the trip. Rappelling waterfalls! The folks from Desafio (which is, in our humble opinion- the best tour company in CR) picked us up and toted us to their headquarters in downtown La Fortuna. After transferring to a 4WD vehicle, we were four- wheelin our way up Lost Canyon. Aptly named Lost Canyon because it is not found on any map! Kent, in freefall. Our gu...

Love Blooms Here: March 2014
http://tiftimes.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Kent and I celebrated 14 years of togetherness last week! We snuck out for a movie on Saturday (we finally saw Gravity! Then enjoyed dinner at Sonora Grill with Taylee, Nana, and Poppi. Yum! We were excited to share the fun of chocolate fondue with Taylee that night. She was definitely a fan! Taylee got to experience her first Disney on Ice show last weekend! Too busy telling us her stories to stop for a photo op! Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Mexico 2014 Part Four. We ended our trip ...

Love Blooms Here: Costa Rica Day Seven!
http://tiftimes.blogspot.com/2015/05/costa-rica-day-seven.html
Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Costa Rica Day Seven! After being on the go go go for 5 days in the Rain Forest, we were ready for a day of pure relaxation! We set out to spend the whole day poolside. We realized after a very short period of time that the 97 degree temperatures were going to have us spending most of our day IN the pool. Thank goodness for all inclusive cold beverages! Pura Vida - loosely translated to mean "Pure Life." The Costa Rican motto. Not a bad view for the day! Otherwise known as "Tent".

Love Blooms Here: Costa Rica Day Six!
http://tiftimes.blogspot.com/2015/05/costa-rica-day-six.html
Thursday, May 7, 2015. Costa Rica Day Six! The midpoint of our vacation took us from the lush green rainforest of the Arenal Region, to the much dryer, desert like climate in the Guanacaste area. Although the beauty of the Rain Forest was sad to leave behind, we were ready for dry weather, and the heat of the Guanacaste province. And boy did we find the heat. The average temps in Guanacaste were 95-98 degrees. It was smokin' hot! Enjoying our taxi through the countryside. Llanos de Cortez Waterfall.

Tuesday, February 9, 2016. This was the unfortunate year in which I had to work the Christmas holiday. Unfortunately, due to changing scheduling practices at work, and my recent promotion to Charge Nurse, I had to work Christmas Eve night. Not the best situation, but we survived! While I was busy slaving away (wink, wink. it was actually a really long, slow night at work), Kent, Skyler, and Taylee were busy partying it up at Grandma Judson's traditional Christmas Eve dinner. The Spread. Thanks Santa!

Living La Vida Loca: I Will Not Lie
http://nursedean.blogspot.com/2012/04/i-will-not-lie.html
Wednesday, April 18, 2012. I Will Not Lie. These days, I am one tired mama. My energy levels are down, my attitude is down and my mood is in the toilet. Diagnosis: not enough sleep, wine or chocolate. My husband seems to think that it is funny to photograph my narcoleptic events each night. I am not as amused. As you can see, a blanket. And pillow await me on the couch each evening. NO amount of coffee is helping these days. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Can You Brave The Shave? Living La Vida Loca.

Living La Vida Loca: Mother's Day
http://nursedean.blogspot.com/2012/05/mothers-day.html
Monday, May 14, 2012. I had an absolutely perfect Mother's Day this year. It was low key - relaxing - and sunny. Exactly what I wanted. The girls worked so hard on their gifts at school and were so proud to give them to me. I was served egg whites and organic chocolate in bed that morning. And then Miss Mattea rationed chocolate out to me all day. Who could ask for more? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Love Blooms Here: Costa Rica Day Three!
http://tiftimes.blogspot.com/2015/04/costa-rica-day-three.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Costa Rica Day Three! Our second adventure in Costa Rica was again led by our friends at Desafio. We had a long bus ride to the Rio Sarapiqui to begin our rafting tour, but it was totally worth it! The river rafting closer to our hotel only offered level 2-3 rapids, and Kent wanted a little more adventure (sensing a theme here? Our guide, Adan, thinking we are goofy tourists. Our guide, Adan, working his butt off while we have a good ole' time with our new friends Sam and Audrey.
