A story unwritten about resurrecting previous glory. Tuesday, 8 September 2009. The Underdog is currently waiting for restauration/customization, and I have already started collecting parts. I haven't decided on any theme yet, time will show. In need of a sand blasting. A easy fixable dent where tank goes. The usual crack in the back needs to be welded. Otherwise OK condition inside. Mudguard should be replaced by new. 105cc engine (according to previous owner). Some kind of tuning exhaust?

A story unwritten about resurrecting previous glory. Monday, 7 September 2009. Welcome to this blog about a special 1971 Vespa 50S, nicknamed "the Underdog". The scooter was bought as a donor bike from Sarpsborg, and the only intention I had with it was to rib it off its engine. But the chassis seemed to be in such a good state that it would be a shame not to try to get the register papers for it. So I contacted the previously registered owner. And even better: The engine turned out to be tuned to 105ccm!

I just recently (1 month ago) got the registration papers for The Underdog signed, and sent into the Norwegian Traffic services offices (Statens Vegvesen). Now they are harassing me with papers stating I need to pay insurance before registration can take place. Tuesday, 8 September 2009. I haven't decided on any theme yet, time will show. In need of a sand blasting. Monday, 7 September 2009.

I have however moved one step further in getting parts for a full engine makeover. Nothing wrong with Yosephine except for a slipping clutch and the need for an upgear, and Christmas came early this year: I just recently acquired a lot of unused V50 scooter tuning parts from Oslo! This engine might find its way into Yosephine, or maybe into The Underdog.
