RGRC – Vicariously Through Books

I read, I breathe, I live. Books I’ve Read. The Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge. I love books. I hate the Gilmore Girls. Despite my loathsome feelings I’ve decided that this is a decent list and I’ve been looking for a decent list. Here’s the deal, I’ve been reading, but mostly kid stuff so I figured I’d give this list a try… It will no doubt take me FOREVER, (think. Inspiration: The Official Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge. Wanna see the list? It’s 339 books strong. 1) 1984 by George Orwell. 24) The Biels...

I read, I breathe, I live. Books I’ve Read. Books I’ve Read. Here is the most up to date version of books I’ve read. I have read many more than this in my times as a student and I’m sure in the blog I’ve mentioned some that aren’t on here. This is the most up to date from my Kindle, this does not include graphic novels or short stories. As always if you have any suggestions tell me! Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. Perfume by Patrick Süskind. All That Matters by Jan Goldstein. Night by Elie Wiesel. The Hou...

I read, I breathe, I live. Books I’ve Read. City of Bones (A Mortal Instruments Novel) by Cassandra Clare. About four years ago I read this YA book called City of Bones and like many other novels in a series I became very hooked very quickly. I was still a teenager (barely) when I first read it and it gave me what I had been missing since Harry Potter ended. (FYI: I am a HUGE! I don’t often talk about book covers, but man do I just love this cover! It’s unclear exactly who that is supposed to be on...

Vicariously Paleo - Paleo recipes and dinner ideas from a reluctantly paleo husband.
Vicariously Paleo Paleo recipes and dinner ideas from a reluctantly paleo husband. Paleo Shredded Pork Tamale. I wasn’t sure what to call this since it in no way looks like a tamale, but it tastes like on in all the best ways. So paleo shredded pork tamale seemed like the closes description for the dish. I tried this paleo experiment on a whim when I ran across corn husks in the supermarket. I know corn isn’t paleo, but could you use cornhusks for flavor? Continue reading →. Continue reading →. August 12, 2015. Last family photo op for a while; we just moved our oldest into her freshman college dorm room, four hours away. It was a successful day, although not without its fair share of Jameson-isms, tears, and a roller coaster of emotions. Actually, less like a roller coaster, more like a minefield. More on that at a later date on another post…. July 23, 2015. Religion, viCariously Speaking…. Religion. Always a touchy subject and I am probably going to piss a lot of people off with this post.

I've started a story with the tentative title "The Waterfall at the Foot of the Mountain". It's so sad, but I really like the story idea.I'm not going to say much now, but I'll share once I have the first but written. Thursday, January 16, 2014. Little Alex Wins a Washing Machine. Monday, October 17, 2011. Last week in Italia. Since I had already visited most of the sights I pretty much relaxed for my time in Florence. I was able to walk the streets and soak in the atmosphere of one of my favorite cities without the stress of trying to cram in the sites. It was a great time with great people. Definitely a city I could live in. So, off to London until Thursday, then Dublin for the weekend. Yes, perfect! Firenze, one last time. Meykadeh Libreria Cafe, my favorite place to hang out.

A Day on the Mississippi. August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. While I was home for the picnic, we decided to spend Sunday on the Mississippi River. It was a beautiful day for a boat ride and a swim in the river (or relaxing on the tube). August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. August 10, 2015. August 12, 2015.
