Being Butenhoff: May 2012
http://beingbutenhoff.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 19, 2012. The rest of the Random Recap. This spring, Brandon opted to do the project fair at school and picked pyramids as his subject. He did a good job researching and even designing his poster board into the shape of a pyramid (totally his idea)! All the kids got to display their projects one evening for everyone to view. It was a nice morning for an egg hunt. Allison even needed some help from her little cousins to find a few of her eggs! Brandon and Mike had a good opening day (above).

Being Butenhoff: May 2011
http://beingbutenhoff.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 30, 2011. Time Warp. continued. Mike enjoyed getting a little extra fishing in this year, now that we live in his prime trout fishing area. and he always had an eager sidekick to tag along. At the end of April, our friend's Dave and Diane came down for the weekend for some turkey hunting. The kids had fun trying to track down the "walking tree" (aka Dave in his camo suit) back in the valley from our living room window! Melanie and Erin Kelly had a ball playing! On Mother's Day, we headed to T...

This little life of mine: September 2014
http://originalcopycat.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
This little life of mine. Saturday, September 6, 2014. There's TWO of them! Did you know that? Well, probably most of you did because I assume at this point only my mom and grandma are reading this. And frankly, if either of them don't know about Charlie, it's time to get that Alzheimer's consult scheduled. Anyway, yes, there's another lovable time and energy suck residing in our home (Guess what? It's been so long that there's a new one of those too! He's the Norm of daycare. If that keeps up, I ima...

http://beingbutenhoff.blogspot.com/2012/06/look-whos-6.html
Monday, June 25, 2012. 6 years ago we were in the hospital on a VERY hot Memorial Day weekend and got to meet out cute little Butternut. She forever changed our lives! This Memorial Weekend, our birthday girl wanted to go camping for her birthday, so as soon as school let out on Friday, we headed out for a long camping weekend! She's so old it takes 2 hands to show it! Brandon made her a very nice card and got her a little diary she was wanting. We had a nice campsite at Lake Shetek State Park! Melanie s...

Being Butenhoff: May Days
http://beingbutenhoff.blogspot.com/2012/06/may-days.html
Friday, June 15, 2012. We had an unusually early and warm spring. and it continued right into May. Made for a nice Mother's Day weekend as we were able to head out biking in Lanesboro for the day! The Root River Trail is a great biking trail and the kids always do well! We did about 10 miles this time out. normally 15-20 is more common, but our first time out for the season, 10 was plenty! Melanie loves all the bridges along the way. The long railroad bridge (below) is her favorite! She gave them quite a...

This little life of mine: January 2015
http://originalcopycat.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
This little life of mine. Thursday, January 29, 2015. One of the first purchases Kevin and I made after we got married was a king bed. It was glorious. Spacious. Allowed both of us to sleep peacefully without the necessity of being kicked, punched or needlessly breathed on. Once Lindsay came along, we were used to our king bed feeling pretty small. She didn't sleep with us much, but sometimes sleep deprivation calls for desperate measures. And it surely beat crawling into her crib of toddler bed. Recline...

This little life of mine. Friday, January 24, 2014. In the not-so-distant past (although it feels like a lifetime ago), happy hour meant heading to the bar for a couple cocktails and appetizers with friends after work. And if things got really crazy, maybe some karaoke and dancing before heading home. So you know what? It really still is Happy Hour. The scenery and the characters are different, but it's still pretty damn fun. And you know what? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Mommy Likes her Vino.

This little life of mine: July 2013
http://originalcopycat.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
This little life of mine. Monday, July 15, 2013. One of my favorite advertising campaigns from the past few years was the Sour Patch Kids commercials that ended, "First they're sour, then they're sweet." Every one of those commercials cracked me up. For those that didn't ever see them or just don't remember them (highly unlikely if you are even remotely able to be amused), here are a couple examples:. So these commercials cracked me up. No one could forgive someone for those acts so quickly! I set her do...
