VISUAL ATHLETICS CLUB
http://www.visualathleticsclub.com/main.html
Visual Athletics Club celebrates the overlooked. And the everyday. It takes the mantra ‘always be looking’. As a starting point. Images are generated on a daily basis - using a 35mm. Lsquo;point and shoot’ style film camera - from trips abroad, journeys through the UK and closer to home in London. Established in 2006 by photographer Edward Barber. And writer Danielle Inga. In 2007 a small selection of the archive was exhibited at The Horse Hospital. In Bloomsbury, London.

Feeding the Eye: Gander at this goose egg scramble
http://www.feedingtheeye.com/2013/03/gander-at-this-goose-egg-scramble.html
Monday, 4 March 2013. Gander at this goose egg scramble. Health food shops often seem something of an anomaly - encouraging healthy eating but populated by mostly miserable, often positively grumpy and altogether unhealthy looking individuals. One independent in London seemed to actively discourage return customers and be happy to provide less than helpful service. It may be a local phenomenon or just an indication of the true meaning of a local shop. Posted by Danielle Inga. View my complete profile.
Feeding the Eye: Muesli - a go go breakfast
http://www.feedingtheeye.com/2014/11/muesli-go-go-breakfast.html
Saturday, 15 November 2014. Muesli - a go go breakfast. Gently toast - dried coconut, flaked almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds. Chop - cranberries, sultanas, dried apricots, toasted hazelnuts. Add - jumbo oats, oat bran, fresh fruit, yoghurt, milk. Eat and go go go. Posted by Danielle Inga. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Muesli - a go go breakfast. Feeding the Eye: Hoca with his challah
http://www.feedingtheeye.com/2014/06/hoca-with-his-challah.html
Thursday, 19 June 2014. Hoca with his challah. My brother bakes beautiful bread. He delighted us all at my father's 80th birthday celebration. A reunion - four siblings returning to the family home all together for the first time in sixteen years. A menu was agreed with each of us bringing a variety of. Sweetmeats eschewed in favour of that delicious home baked bread. The memory lingers. Posted by Danielle Inga. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Hoca with his challah.

Feeding the Eye: Black banana and chocolate cake
http://www.feedingtheeye.com/2013/02/black-banana-and-chocolate-cake.html
Wednesday, 13 February 2013. Black banana and chocolate cake. Perennial problems with bananas - too green when you buy them and want to eat them, then forgotten and over ripe with a high infused banana flavour. The addition of chocolate and almonds mellows the banana and creates a dense slightly puddingy cake best eaten in small quantities! Nigel Slater is the origin of this recipe but with a few minor adjustments. 150g caster sugar/muscovado sugar. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 175g self raising flour.
Feeding the Eye: Fast food - Pea Soup
http://www.feedingtheeye.com/2013/01/fast-food-pea-soup.html
Tuesday, 1 January 2013. Fast food - Pea Soup. Frozen peas always there to add a little colour or sweetness. Quick and versatile - what's not to like? Chop spring onion, fry in a little olive oil until soft. Chuck in a bag of frozen peas,. A little gem lettuce that you've shredded and washed. And half a glass of white wine. Add as much vegetable stock as you need to cover the peas. Cook until peas are done. Put in a food blender or blitz. Check seasoning - serve warm rather than piping hot.
Feeding the Eye: Roasted red peppers - sunshine on a plate
http://www.feedingtheeye.com/2012/06/theres-always-sunshine-on-plate.html
Monday, 18 June 2012. Roasted red peppers - sunshine on a plate. Roasted sweet peppers are a delight to behold and tantalise the palate and a frittata is perfect picnic fare. Heat oven to 200C. Halve, deseed and wash three peppers. Drizzle a little olive oil in a baking dish - lay the pepper halves top to tail so they fit snuggly and divide the mixture between them. Cook for approx 15-20 mins or until peppers are cooked. Clean and slice asparagus lengthways - steam lightly. Posted by Danielle Inga.
