Waldo 100K Ultramarathon

August 22, 2015. The Waldo 100K Ultramarathon is a challenging 100K loop-type course starting at Willamette Pass Ski Area (70 miles east of Eugene, Oregon) at elevation 5120′, climbing up several mountains including Fuji, The Twins, and Maiden Peak before returning to the ski area. The route is mostly single-track trails with some fairly remote sections and has many incredible views of pristine Waldo Lake. It is not a beginner-level ultra and participation in the race should not be taken lightly.

16th annual August 19, 2017. Details TBD, but below are 2016 details. Last updated: August 23, 2016 at 11:17 am. Saturday, August 20, 2016. Start time is at 5:00 am, in the dark. Early start is at 3:00 am for those expecting to run more than 16 hours. Race begins and ends at Willamette Pass Ski Area in the Oregon Cascades. This is 70 miles southeast of Eugene, Oregon on Highway 58. To get there from I-5 take the Highway 58 exit just south of Eugene and drive east. Meghan Arbogast and Craig Thornley.

Todd was so speedy I only got one picture of him and. We never saw him again. The whole scene was really eye opening and inspiring. Action packed! They had 750 riders and of those just a handful of woman. The final female count was less than 30! I rested as much as I could before Sunday.
