August 3, 2015. Wanda B. Victorian. The hubby and I went to the English Gardens in Assiniboine Park. On Sunday with some friends. It was a lovely walk. I like flowers but only if someone else takes care of them. Since I typically kill plants, I find the care of them, a ton of work with very little return. Here are a few shots from that trip. August 12, 2015. Wanda B. Victorian. You might wanna rethink that! I care for the pet birds at the nursing home I work in. There is one small parrot named Stevie who is pretty…on the outside at least. He thinks he is my husband…and he is an abusive one at that. He bit me today. Not as hard as he could but still…. That evening, I was volunteering at the Costume Museum of Canada and was struck by a theme that was likely enhanced by my snit with the buzzard. 1950’s hat from the Costume Museum of Canada. For a quick bit of info read this photo. You may need to click on the photo to see it more clearly. Here are some photos from the Rectory. There are only a few artifacts in the Rectory. Monday, April 21, 2014. Way back in February I had been planning for a completed 1880's ensemble. My ideas were vague and unsatisfying, and the month passed with no progress. Inspiration struck. Some of my favorite photos from the day were candid shots of me walking around the park. The dress looks gorgeous in motion. I didn't realize the wind had knocked my hat sideways though! Even just barely into spring Lynch park is gorgeous and green and just the absolute perfect setting for just about anything!

Who Are These Bastards? Doing things the victorian way. White cotton voile, hand sewn handkerchief measuring 13″ by 13″. Embroidered with DMC Coton a Broder #30 in white. Not the neatest embroidery I’ve ever done, as I’d never worked with the fabric nor the thread before and I really just wanted to test out the process. The next will be much better, I’m sure.
