mermaid heather: Time For The Prom Again
http://mermaidheather.blogspot.com/2015/07/time-for-prom-again.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Time For The Prom Again. 1987) I do recall watching this one before, but it has been many, many years ago. Because of that, I didn't really remember a whole lot about it. It did feel like a movie I haven't watched before when I watched it this time, so I assume it didn't leave much of an impression on me back in the day. At times. It isn't a copy of that film at all, but there are times I'm sure it will remind you of Carrie. 3 out of 5 Nothing exciting happened at my prom. The Gen...

King of Unfinished Projects: December 2007
http://cattleworkscomics.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
King of Unfinished Projects. It's all about comics! Reading comics and yakking about comics! But MOSTLY about my efforts at creating comics! Sunday, December 16, 2007. Still sorting through this stuff. NOTE: The date of this post reflects the original date I posted it on Deviant Art. I re-posted it here on blogger on February 24, 2010, 6:13pm). My first journal entry was EXTREMELY lame. Sorry. Or am I just being dim here (which is nothing new)? The other issues I have with DA is that for some reason I fi...

mermaid heather: Making Pain Hurt
http://mermaidheather.blogspot.com/2013/09/making-pain-hurt.html
Friday, September 13, 2013. I was thinking of taking this review over to Top Horror Movies Club. Since I haven't done one over there in a couple of weeks now, if not longer. The movie I want to watch next though is the one I think I will do over there instead. Hopefully it won't take all week to get this review done. I wanted to get Vile. Maybe you can already tell, but Vile. Isn't going to be a movie for everyone. Director Taylor Sheridan and writers Eric Jay Beck and Rob Kowsaluk tap into the Saw.

mermaid heather: Happy 50th Post
http://mermaidheather.blogspot.com/2006/05/happy-50th-post.html
Friday, May 19, 2006. Wow, 50 posts. Who would have thought? If you are a horror fan then I am sure you have already watched Friday The 13th: Part 2. Don't get me wrong, it is a classic as far as horror movies go. I liked the fact that the killer was a woman, not something seen in horror movies all that often. The second film (of a very long series of films, 11 and counting) really got my attention, because of one actress: Amy Steel. It also introduced Jason, the most well known slasher killer. Well happ...

mermaid heather: Damn Ravens
http://mermaidheather.blogspot.com/2015/07/damn-ravens.html
Friday, July 17, 2015. It has been over a week since I have done a review here. I did manage to get one done over at my other blog just yesterday, after taking nearly a week to finish it. You can read my review for Creep. Just by clicking on the link. Even though I had an easy week at work, I was busy spending money when at home. Lets just say I'm nearing $2,000 spent and leave it at that, shall we? As soon as I got done with my last review, I jumped into the movie Kaw. On DVD from Netflix. It is one...

mermaid heather: Film Club Day Part Five
http://mermaidheather.blogspot.com/2007/03/film-club-day-part-five.html
Monday, March 26, 2007. Film Club Day Part Five. After missing the last film club entry, I decided I couldn't let two films go by without reviewing one so here I am with the latest Final Girl Film Club entry: Deathwatch. How will they even discover what the evil is? This was director Michael J. Bassett's first movie. Deathwatch. 4 out of 5 Finding new reasons to hate rats. One of my favorite horror sub-genres is the "military vs. supernatural" sub-genre. There's something about the fact that the ...I wil...

mermaid heather: Soft Porn Comes To Horror
http://mermaidheather.blogspot.com/2006/05/soft-porn-comes-to-horror.html
Thursday, May 04, 2006. Soft Porn Comes To Horror. Sadly the title of this post is true. From what I have been reading this movie caused a lot of stir being a horror film back in 1986. Lucky for me, actually unlucky I think, the follow up to this movie, Entrails Of A Virgin,. Will be the next movie I will be watching. When I read things like "few Japanese horror films have managed to provoke quite as much revulsion as Entrails Of A Virgin,". I just have to watch it. 1 out of 5 Humans posing as monsters.

A rambling wastrel, I*: November 2007
http://cattleworks.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
A rambling wastrel, I*. Containing the not so concise musings and rantings of a human being who exhibits the tendencies of a wanna-be filmmaker, cartoonist, writer. but mostly, a guy who hopes to someday finish SOMEthing creative. *with apologies to Mel Brooks' THE PRODUCERS (1968).
