NASA's Curiosity Rover drilled deep enough on Mars to get a powdered sample for analysis. 2 holes were drilled by Curiosity - a test hole which is 16mm wide and 20mm deep, and the hole the sample was taken from which is 64mm deep. Robonaut 2, or R2 for short, is a robot who works on the ISS. It is able to use the same tools and controls as humans because it is a similar shape and size and has human-like hands, which include touch-sensitive fingertips.
