One of the main purposes of the Watershed Explorers Program is to provide an opportunity for youth to get outdoors and discover the many facets of the San Dieguito Watershed from the natural world to its history and cultural significance. On this journey, they develop a sense of place and appreciation for our local environment. Many times they also experience firsts , such as seeing snow, walking through an incense cedar forest, or just getting out of the city. If you prefer to donate with a check,.

When these vans are not being used for the Watershed Explorers Program, they are available for use by other non-profits or public entities that desire to use them for public benefit and educational purposes. For inquiries or to schedule use of the vans, please contact the River Park...

As Ive written several times previously, each November chum salmon spawn in a small ephemeral stream not more than a quarter mile from our front door. Beatty Creek. Its called, and I have loved it since the first time I laid eyes on it. This creek differs in almost every respect from Fanno Creek. Posted at 11:11 AM in Beatty Creek.
