Grungedav: When it's all been said and done
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/01/when-its-all-been-said-and-done.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Monday, 18 January 2010. When it's all been said and done. When it's all been said and done. There is just one thing that matters. Did I do my best to live for truth? Did I live my life for you? When it's all been said and done. All my treasures will mean nothing. Only what I have done. Will stand the test of time. Lord, your mercy is so great. That you look beyond our weakness. That you found purest gold in miry clay.

Grungedav: A change is as good as a rest

The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Sunday, 7 February 2010. A change is as good as a rest. I personally am looking forward to getting back to normal, but being still allowed me to paint which to me is the best rest in the world - not only did my back get a rest but my spirit did too! Grungedav: Do I have to believe in Jesus?
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/03/do-i-have-to-believe-in-jesus.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Tuesday, 9 March 2010. Do I have to believe in Jesus? Do I have to believe in Jesus to go to heaven? How could the meaning of this verse be changed if Jesus had said…. There are other ways to God than trusting Jesus. There are other options about God that are also true; we don’t have to believe in Jesus. There are other ways to get a new life. Have you ever been to the pic’n’mix sweets section in a shop? How can we let peop...

The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Monday, 1 March 2010. A couple of Fisherman hired a Sea Plane to drop them by a remote lake, then return in seven days to pick them up. On the sixth day the fisherman caught a monster fish. At the appointed time, the pilot arrived and loaded the Fishers and their gear in the plane. "Wait a minute," said the first fisherman. "What about our fish? Sorry," said the pilot. "We're at maximum weight already.". He asked his partner.

Grungedav: We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/01/we-are-afflicted-in-every-way-but-not.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Thursday, 14 January 2010. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;. Persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Grungedav: Hearts and Minds
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/01/hearts-and-minds.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Wednesday, 27 January 2010. Hearts and minds is the phrase they use about what the troops are trying to accomplish in Afghanistan. Sometimes winning minds is easy, winning hearts is a very different thing. Jeremiah 17:9 (The Message). The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful,. A puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart. And examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human. I'll be your God! I like ...

Grungedav: Order out of Chaos
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/02/order-out-of-chaos.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Tuesday, 9 February 2010. Order out of Chaos. I don't know how you cope when you feel out of control? It's interesting what Trev has blogged on tonight! You know we do not know when Jesus is coming back but we know he is. How ordered are we for his return, how in control of our spiritual life are we? Do we need to wash, empty, scrub, bleach and sweep our spiritual life? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Another year nearl...

Grungedav: And the pieces fit....
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/01/and-pieces-fit.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Wednesday, 20 January 2010. And the pieces fit. Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish! We don't play the major role. If we did, we'd probably go around bragging that we'd done the whole thing! Unaware till...

Grungedav: Who Am I?
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/01/who-am-i.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Thursday, 21 January 2010. That the Lord of all the earth,. Would care to know my name,. Would care to feel my hurt. That the bright and morning star,. Would choose to light the way,. For my ever wandering heart. Not because of who I am,. But because of what you've done. Not because of what I've done,. But because of who you are. I am a flower quickly fading,. Here today and gone tomorrow,. A wave tossed in the ocean,.

Grungedav: Barnabas wasn't just a friend of Paul
http://grungedav.blogspot.com/2010/01/barnabas-wasnt-just-friend-of-paul.html
The musings, ponderings, and procrastinations of Grungedav David@oakchurch.co.uk. Friday, 15 January 2010. Barnabas wasn't just a friend of Paul. We know about Barnabas mostly through the Book of Acts and a few other books in the New Testament. The first time we see him in action (Acts 4:36-7), he sells his property so that the money could be shared with anyone in need. This little incident reveals a glimpse of his generous character. Perhaps, the deepest insight into his character comes from the name.
