Friday, May 28, 2010. The students played more domino draw this afternoon preparing for our big tournament next week! I hope you all have a great weekend! Thursday, May 27, 2010. We had such a fun afternoon playing a variety of math games! The students practiced telling time, identifying numbers, measured with feet and practiced addition using number cubes and the smart board. The students were all so excited and engaged in their work! The students looked for patterns with numbers and were asked to "I spy" higher numbers. The students worked on making new words by changing only the first letter. This creates a word family. Friday, January 29, 2010. Today, the students started to work on a classroom design for a domino knock-down. There were a few criteria that the students needed to follow, including: it must have one line, one curve, one corner and be able to be knocked down with just one touch. An excuse to play with Blender voxels, the Wicker Beast smolders at the ends of the world. Built as a scene to test Blender’s Volumetrics, as soap suds.
