At last, I have completed my round of chemo treatments, 12 of 12. It should have been over the second week of April, instead it was the second week of June. Low platelets were the problem. The last two treatments I took, my platelets were between 65,000 and 80,000. My thinking was the doctor won't give me another with my platelets low, so I cancelled my appointment for mid April. Following the success of the week long cheer camp over the summer, Grace signed up for Upwards Cheerleading in September of 2011. Upwards is a Christian based program our church started this year and in the fall it hosts football and cheerleading. Grace loves to cheer and dance and really enjoyed herself! We got to Myrtle Beach early on Friday and went down to the beach for a few hours. It was overcast and a little chilly, but we enjoyed some peace and quiet on the sand.
