A very sweet woman who worked with has taken on a new job and today was her last day and farewell lunch. I wanted to give her something personal and fun for her new at-home office. I remembered an "Inspired by Pinterest" episode on My Craft Channel where pushpins were decorated. I grabbed the E6000, the Mod Podge Melts, and had a little fun. NEW SITE IS UP!

I saw an idea on Pinterest that I had try, so I dug through my stash of fabric, twine and ribbon and made these glamorous pumpkins. To get the indentation shape desired, I used a jute string and wrapped it from the center bottom up to the top, over and back down to the bottom several times spacing the string out for each pumpkin section. I love making gifts for family, friends and students. These are examples of gifts or "extras" that make a gift special. It's SEW easy to make these key chains. I have made them with lavender, but for this season I've stuffed them with crushed cinnamon scented pine cones. Scrap 2 inch wide, 8 inch long ribbon. Tool needed- Crop-a-dile or an eyelet setter.

Re-fashion, up-cycle, scrapbook, and crafting fun. Sunday, November 18, 2012. Fall Rose Bouquet made from Leaves. Dollar Store plastic flower stems and leaves (flowers stripped off). Dollar Store Turkey Vase. Step one, pick up leaves in the colors you like. They are best if just of, or picked off of a tree, because they get too dry to work with. Fold top of a leave over and add a dab of hot glue to edge, then alternately roll leaf, and add hot glue, repeat. I used 5-6 leaves per flower. NEW SITE IS UP!

This is a project I totally dove into, with items from My Craft Channel Kit of the Month. Echo Park paper and stickers, My Minds Eye embellishments, Miss Caroline baker's twine) and featuring our Grandson. I had this nice block of uninterrupted quite time at home (rare) and lost myself in color, paint, and sweet memories. Front of 4x4 canvas. Inside view- see brass hinges and mini shadow box.
