Hardy Heron! | Wayward Words
https://waywardwords.wordpress.com/2008/06/18/hardy-heron
June 18, 2008. Posted by bco under ubuntu. I went in to the terminal and typed in:. Sudo update-manager -c -d. The update manager opened…and there was the upgrade button! 8230;come to think of it, though, I had a beer while I was there, and a little alcohol tends to help me relax and not censor everything that comes into my head). To the script and tried again. It worked! After two hours or so of downloading and installing, I had Gutsy. This morning, I installed Hardy with no problems whatsoever, and...

May 18, 2008. Foggy parking lots and social fears. Posted by bco under insecurities. On Friday night at about 10:50, I decided I wanted to go out and watch a movie. Unfortunately, I’d never been to the theater in Ithaca, so I didn’t know exactly where it was — and all I found were foggy parking lots. I wish I had parked my car and wandered around. July 3, 2008. Here I am again…. Posted by bco under random. Once again, I have failed to go to bed at anything resembling a reasonable hour. It’s 3:45 am, and although I feel a little tired, I don’t really feel like sleeping. (I can tell I’m tired because I just spent the past 30 seconds or so mumbling the words “resembling a reasonable” because they sound entertaining.). There is a house centipede. Blog at WordPress.com. Sci fi comic books and Shakespeare | Suisiadh 3Gaels
https://suisiadh.wordpress.com/2014/09/01/sci-fi-comic-books-and-shakespeare
Sci fi comic books and Shakespeare. September 1, 2014. A few weeks back I took my daughter to the movies we went to see Guardians of the Galaxy. My kinda movie. I just loved the soundtrack brought back lots of memories. During the movie this one character Groot moved in a way that for some odd reason Hamlet popped in my head. The only words he spoke were ‘I am groot’ I thought cool that would be an awesome shirt a tree playing Hamlet. So when I got home I set to work. Guardians of the galaxy. How to Pain...

June 21, 2014. As you may or may not know I’ve been playing with sanded pastel paper. It started with Nell the horse and went on to Brown Eye Susan (one of my favourite paintings yet) and I really enjoyed the paper and it’s very rough texture and its ability to take punishment. However I really had a hard time blending the skin tones on this paper I kept walking away coming back making changes but ugh! I got to a point where I just had the base colours in and just could’nt get it to work. Much better, al...

July 9, 2014. I choose 2 projects to work on. I took this great photo with my iPhone, I wish it had been with my trusty camera I would of had more pixels to work with for a print but alas like me its age is showing and it has decided it’s time, ‘sigh’ ‘sniff’ ‘sniff’. Sanded Paper 2 | Suisiadh 3Gaels
https://suisiadh.wordpress.com/2014/05/25/sanded-paper-2
May 25, 2014. I am still playing with that #Pastel sanded paper that I bought. I bought 2 sheets, they were a medium brown colour. They actually look and feel just like sandpaper from the hardware store. I have always used the Basic paper that works for pastels, has a little tooth. I am on my second painting, I cut the paper in half the first half I used for Nell. The usual Canson Mi-Teintes that most artists use covers well too. I can take brushes when doing hair and get a great sweep and texture th...
Our Little Man | Suisiadh 3Gaels

July 25, 2014. This is a commission I just finished, for my daughter. This is her cat Oliver. I used 8 x 10 Canson Paper. With soft pastel sticks. I also used a lot of pastel pencils. Once I got all the base colours in I used the pencils for details and hair. The funniest part was every time I sat to paint Oliver would lay right next to me on the shelf unit watching me. I think he wanted to make sure I captured his likeness properly. In the Pink’ers’. The Big Move to Studio. July 26, 2014 at 11:04 am.
