A recent near miss with some alleged ‘cornflour’ has prompted me to put together a little list of handy vocabulary and various guiding tidbits to help improve your chances of find what you need for baking in your local Japanese supermarket. Wheat is 小麦 / komugi in Japanese, and flour is 小麦粉 / komugiko (the 粉 being 'kona' or powder), you'll sometimes also see it written as フラワー / furawaa. 漂白 / hyohaku = bleached.

Czwartek, 21 sierpnia 2014. Batony granola na zakwasie. W sierpniowej edycji Sordough Surprises. 160;mieliśmy piec batoniki granola. Granola to taka mieszanka płatków zbożowych i bakalii pieczona do chrupkości. Nigdy jeszcze nie przyrządzałam granoli, a już tym bardziej batoników z granoli. Najbardziej spodobało mi się to, że batoniki granola są płaskie:P. No bo nie mogłam wiele wymagać od mojego biednego zakwasiku, zostawionego w ciemnym kącie lodówki przez 1,5 tygodnia. Vrijdag 31 mei 2013. Geroosterde forel met tijm. Weer eens een recept met vis, forel deze keer. Lekker visje, heel zacht van smaak ik denk ook voor degene die niet zulke viseters zijn.
