Stages of Change: Day 5
http://stagesofchange.blogspot.com/2010/06/day-5.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2010. I reread my very first blog post (December 14, 2008) today. I really enjoyed it so I am re-posting it below in it's (relatively brief) entirety:. Above are screenshots of three of the hundreds of weight loss related blogs I've viewed in the last 2 days. And those three have something significant in common with 95% of those blogs: they didn't last long. At all. The majority have been under 10 posts total, and then.nothing. But, when it comes to human nature, another common theme ...

Stages of Change: July 2009
http://stagesofchange.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2009. A Walk In My Shoes. First, a warning: You may trip while taking a walk in my shoes unless you too have size 17 feet. Second, actually don't bother. You don't need to walk in my shoes, I already did last night. Today I'm feeling good. I feel like I'm healing. I feel strong - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I feel grateful, happy, and measured. That's it for now. Good choices to all of us this weekend! Monday, July 27, 2009. This last week has been great. And speaking...

Stages of Change: Day 7 & 8
http://stagesofchange.blogspot.com/2010/07/day-7-8.html
Saturday, July 3, 2010. Day 7 and 8. I didn't post yesterday. I didn't post because, well. So I can definitely tell you why I didn't not post though. It wasn't because I didn't exercise. I will not quit. I will not give in. I am working hard, and I will reap what I am sowing. Day 7 AND 8:. One hour and 15 minutes of basketball Thursday, 40 minutes of basketball yesterday. Pay the man, indeed :). July 3, 2010 at 5:08 PM. A day late but not a dollar short! July 6, 2010 at 9:37 AM. July 7, 2010 at 8:38 PM.

Stages of Change: Day 3
http://stagesofchange.blogspot.com/2010/06/day-3.html
Monday, June 28, 2010. I haven't regularly posted since last summer, and since I'm committed to doing this 125 days of exercise in conjunction with 125 posts, I guess there's a chance that people who used to read this will come back and some new people may start. So, just to get on the same page then - allow me to reintroduce myself:. I started this blog December 14, 2008. At the time I was 620 lbs. I am a recovering alcoholic. I went to rehab for alcohol and my weight in 2008. I'm originally from Alaska.

Stages of Change: October 2009
http://stagesofchange.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 12, 2009. Weigh-In: It's Business Time. I'm in SLC this week for a division meeting. I got up and drove there this morning at 5:30. I stopped at the almost empty (looking at least) senior citizen center, which, thankfully, was unlocked and unmanned (thankful for me; as I've said before, I worry about the lack of security for their citizens). The scale said: 523. 14 pounds lost this week. Onward and freaking upward. Wednesday, October 7, 2009. In any event, to 45 and Aspiring: Thank you.

Stages of Change: February 2010
http://stagesofchange.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 17, 2010. The Pine Box Derby. Racing like the wind towards the checkered flag. We were transcending the moment, the flashbulbs lighting up all over as we rounded the final curve. The intensity was mounting, the pressure was building, we were getting so close. All of our loved-ones were yelling and hollering at us from the sidelines. The sweat, and the time, and the money, and the choices, and the sacrifices, and the agony had all led up to this. We stopped racing to the grave. We stop...

Wednesday, November 25, 2009. The Bravery - Time Wont Let Me Go. Found at skreemr.com. Whenever I look back. On the best days of my life. I think I saw them all on T.V. I am so homesick now for. Someone that I never knew. I am so homesick for. Someplace I will never be ". The Bravery, "Time Won't Let Me Go". I was reading Sean Anderson's always stellar blog. A topic he touched on struck me: "I am not a victim, I refuse to be one.". What I never used to see was how easy it is to do just that. The song, li...
