Saturday, September 14, 2013. Arctic Monkeys cover Drake. Apologies for being MIA the last few days- it's was due to a mix of being ill and starting my second year of university. Regular posting should resume in the next few days. But until then, here's my favourite anything at the moment. Arctic Monkey's cover of Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" on Radio One's Live Lounge. Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Miley Cyrus "Wrecking Ball". Spit strings. Hammer-licking. Some side-boob. Enjoy. 1 Roar - Katy Perry.

The Billboard Files: 2005 in Music: Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
http://thebillboardfiles.blogspot.com/2015/01/2005-in-music-bloc-party-silent-alarm.html
Sunday, January 04, 2015. 2005 in Music: Bloc Party - Silent Alarm. These days, I've fallen a little out of love with your standard alternative rock. But the debut album from British indie rock band Bloc Party, was just as refreshing as the scenery its cover art illustrates. An almost euphoric dabble in bubbling electric rock/pop. Little did I know that a look into their back catalog would reveal something even better. Labels: Best of 2005. 2 July 2016 at 05:28. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 2005 i...

Emeli Sande - Our Version of Events. 4/5) After the brilliant drum and bass, trip-hop influenced debut single "Heaven," and her fantastic hook on Professor Green's hit "Read All About It," British singer Emeli Sande's debut album has definitely been heavily anticipated. Sunday, January 18, 2015. 2005 in Music: 50 Cent - The Massacre. Perhaps, more known for its big sales rather than a solid entry into the hip-hop cannon. and of course, "Candy Shop." 50 Cent's sophomore album was probably more unadulterated fun than intelligent (like say, Kanye's masterpiece Late Registration. Best: Candy Shop, Just a Little Bit, Ryder Music, Piggy Bank. Sunday, January 11, 2015. 2005 in Music: Jennifer Lopez - Rebirth. Ironically, for Jennifer Lopez, Rebirth. Tuesday, January 06, 2015.

The Billboard Files: Album Review: The Civil Wars - Barton Hollow (4.5/5)

Sunday, November 06, 2011. Album Review: The Civil Wars - Barton Hollow (4.5/5). Okay, so I'm not the biggest fan of the more obscure country-tinged, indie/folk however sometimes the blending of those sounds can be done so immaculately and wonderfully you can't help but embrace it. Some good examples are American folk band Fleet Foxes, particularly their first eponymous album or Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall's fantastic third album Tiger Suit. And now Barton Hollow. So, who are The Civil Wars?

The Billboard Files: Album Reviews: Rihanna and Drake
http://thebillboardfiles.blogspot.com/2011/11/album-reviews-rihanna-and-drake.html
Friday, November 18, 2011. Album Reviews: Rihanna and Drake. Rihanna - Talk That Talk. Rihanna on her horniest work yet. On, Talk That Talk,. Rihanna's vagina has never been more revved up and ready to go. It begins with the beat heavy urban-drenched opener "You Da One" in which she sings ("You had me yellin' like that. Ain't no other niggas like you") then to the drum and synth heavy R&B title track "Talk That Talk" featuring hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z. Sexual vulgarities aside, Talk That Talk,. Is Rihan...
