Sunday, July 17. Nile Cruise - final take. I know, I know, I totally suck. I’m just going to finish our Cruise now, then I’ll do all of Cairo in one entry so I can actually move on to other things that need to be blogged about. Welcome Anyway: October 2009

http://welcomeanyway.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 21. Alas, no Hugh Jackman sightings. So, Sunday was my last day in Australia. In true tourist fashion, I bought an all-day ticket for those red, open-air tour buses. As gorgeous as the weather was on Saturday, it was just that rainy on Sunday. But, since it was my only day left, what can you do? Of course, at the end of the afternoon the sky cleared. View from Sydney Tower. Roof of Opera House. Sunday, October 18. The “non-politically correct” tour. Pet and feed Kangaroos (or were they...

Welcome Anyway: November 2009

http://welcomeanyway.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 2. A whole new me. So, after months (and months) of thinking about it, I finally just bit the bullet. You never realize how long your hair is until you see it on the floor, right? I like it, though. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). In my opinion, of course. Shelfari: Book reviews on your book blog. Happy 11th, My Darling Boy! Shane's $.02 Rants. Shane, Amy and kids. Skyline Lake winter backpacking trip. Happy Easter and Jaggs 3 Months. Once upon a time. Mike, Wendy and the boys. A whole new me.

Welcome Anyway: March 2011

http://welcomeanyway.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 5. Egypt is hot, even in October, and Aswan was experiencing record heat (like 110° F). So, all of our activities were before noon, or after 4 pm Whenever Egyptians greeted us outside in the heat, they all greeted us with “Welcome to Alaska! 8221; Some would take the time to explain why that was funny, but I think I got it right away. After our first night in Egypt (we pretty much crashed when we got to the hotel), we got up early to meet our guide, Mohamed (of course, right? I think it w...

Welcome Anyway: Nile Cruise, Take 2

http://welcomeanyway.blogspot.com/2011/04/nile-cruise-take-2.html

Friday, April 29. Nile Cruise, Take 2. So, on the morning of our second day, we finally set sail (and yes, I’m finally updating my blog). We sailed up the Nile – how cool is it that I can say that? It was interesting, there were so many boats docked at each… um, port (? OK, this isn't the carriage we took in Edfu, but it's pretty much the same. Edfu, apparently, is the second largest temple in all of Egypt (after Karnak). The walk up to the temple was quite impressive, even as we were getting eaten a...

Our Three of a Kind: March 2009

http://ourthreeofakind.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Our Three of a Kind. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Nate has been doing this a lot lately. When there is something he wants, he closes one eye and points. You should give it a try and maybe you can understand why he does it. It really does focus better on what you want. I wondered where he got this from and realized that I do it! Thursday, March 12, 2009. Family Fun in Kansas! Kim is the cutest mom! I love this picture of her and Bronson. My handsome brother, Paul with Kim and Bronson. Tuesday, March 10, 2009.

The Austin Buxtons: October 2008

http://austinbuxtons.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 30, 2008. Aiden has posted a new movie on youtube. He's getting better. In this one, I like how he filmed from different locations and angles. Enjoy. http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Posted by Karen Buxton. We attended our ward Trunk or Treat party on Tuesday. Of course I was finishing Aiden's costume at the last moment. I work best under pressure, or at least I like to tell myself that. Poor Brennan is always the one under attack. So does anyone else think that Aiden needs a haircut?

More Cowbell!: Camel Ridin'

http://amandaweikum.blogspot.com/2010/10/camel-ridin.html

Doesn't everything need more cowbell? I've got a fever, and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL! Friday, October 22, 2010. I rode a camel today in Egypt around the Pyramids and the Sphinx. It was a bit scary when the camel stood up and sat down but the ride in between was great. Not too hot out either for the ride- today, our last day in Egypt it was only 83 degrees out as opposed to the hot 112 in Luxor and Aswan. Seriously, how awesome is that? October 22, 2010 at 11:55 AM. Sitting on a Pyramid!

Doesn't everything need more cowbell? I've got a fever, and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL! Saturday, October 10, 2009. This morning I went walking on the Provo River path at Bridal Veil Falls to look at the changing fall leaves. It was a beautiful day for a walk, about 45 degrees. I had my friend Julie and her granddaughter Amanda with me. Here are some of the pictures Julie and I took:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sitting on a Pyramid! Meine Liebe Weikums: Fun times in the dust

http://theweikums.blogspot.com/2010/10/fun-times-in-dust.html

Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Fun times in the dust. Much to my surprise, I came in one day after the crew had put in all the windows. The entire house had NO CARPET! All of our tools had been moved around so that they could remove the carpet. I was a little frustrated. I called Doug and he put in a call to the contractor. He blamed it on the guys working on the house and said he had told them to leave the carpet in there. Hmmmmmmm? It's not pretty nor is it hygienic! I'm taking a break today. I should ...

Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Washington D.C. in a weekend! OKso it's been a while since I posted so here it is.I'm currently in D.C. on business and have been for the past week or so. Over the weekend I was able to go site seeing in the Nation's Capitol. It was very cool to see the monuments and the Capitol building. I didn't make it inside the Capitol but just being on Capitol Hill was very cool. On Saturday I started out riding the Metro into the city. In my pursuit of batteries I walked from the Gallery ...

my travels: December 2008

http://outdoortrainergirlstravels.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 29, 2008. Needless to say I missed the connecting flight and was rescheduled on the 730 pm flight to Salt Lake. I wasn't able to board the plane until every passenger with a confirmed seat had boarded.it was nerve-racking to wait to see if I was going home or spending the night in New York. Anyway, I was able to get home before Christmas which was a blessing. Rich and Cadee picked me up at the airport and we arrived back at home just after 12AM which put me home on Christmas eve! Today B...

Our Three of a Kind: September 2009

http://ourthreeofakind.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Our Three of a Kind. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. End of July begins soccer season around here. We are kept busy with both boys and this year Mike is coaching Jared's team. It's been fun for both of them.much better coaching than last year if I do say so myself! We really have to get Josh to go "play soccer." He likes to go and run around. He has met some friends and they like to laugh and play together. Josh is a really good runner! My lean mean Joshie machine. Monday, September 14, 2009. He still is pl...
