Thursday, November 12, 2009. Since little miss C was born, people say that she looks just like me. But I've been waiting for a sign that she has inherited a bit of my personality as well. So far she has acted about as different from Mike or I as you can get! But today I saw her (on her own, no one prompted her the 1st time! Get a whiffle ball, set it on the T and hit it with the bat. Monday, August 30, 2010. I took the summer off from blogging and since preschool is starting next week, we are ramping up for the fall and getting back into our routines! We had a great time this summer visiting friends, going to Atlanta for Leah and Goldin's birthdays, skydiving, vacationing with the Mangines in Michigan, Hassler/Horan reunion at Ford Lake, Claire turning 2, and swimming in our beloved backyard redneck pool! Sunday, January 23, 2011. Swings,Bikes, TVs. In kiddo milestone news, Claire is now able to swing herself! Technically, she doesn't need to be pushed anymore, but with a big brother swinging super high right next to you, she can get pretty frustrated and asks for help in getting "high like Joshie". Josh has been practicing riding his bike without training wheels and is pretty darn close. He can ride 10-20 feet after I let go, I will keep you "posted" (ha,ha) on his progress. Sunday, January 16, 2011. JC and Alexander the Great. I am now as old as Jesus Christ and Alexander the Great were when they died. Does that mean its all downhill from here? My birthday weekend was complete with one down-low comfortable evening with the kids and one crazy night out at my first Mardi Gras ball. Mike made pizza and I ordered a cake from my favorite local bakery in Chalmette, Flour Power Confectionary. Love the card the kids got for you. They really ARE your kids! D haha, too funny.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Our Lady of Lourdes. Josh is all signed up for "big boy" school! We decided to send him to pre-K again as his birthday falls only 2 weeks before the Louisiana deadline of Sept.30. I know that he probably would have done fine in Kindergarten, but the thought of him going off to college when he's only 17 made me want to hold him back so I could have have my baby another year.
