modern craft: Rachel Denny
http://moderncraft.blogspot.com/2009/09/rachel-denny.html
Making it in the modern world: production techniques and art appreciation. Wednesday, September 30. Is a Portland artist. She's inspired by the natural world and the sense of wonder it creates in viewers. Her work uses unusual materials to interpret the "exuberance of nature" and in doing so gives viewers an unexpected experience. Her pieces are interesting and beautiful and reverent to their subject. I especially love the squirrels. October 19, 2009. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Book by its cover.

Japan Craft Journal: Dressmaking patterns
http://japancraftjournal.blogspot.com/2008/12/dressmaking-patterns.html
Thursday, December 4, 2008. Has anyone seen these patterns? I spied these at a few shops in Nippori's fabric street, including Tomato. The images and styling were very cute. The patterns were for fairly basic children's garments so would be ideal for beginners. If anyone knows whether you can buy them online, please drop us a line at Japan Craft Journal? It would be a great resource to share. I think I recognised one of the images from a craft book. Maybe they are related. Site for these patterns. Heathe...

I will admit that at first the lace pattern was a bit hard to remember but about 4inches into it the pattern it stuck and I was able to get quite a few videos watched at the same time. The pattern for this great February Lady Sweater can be found here. Along with some great photos for inspiration. I love it- especially the color.
