http://the-burlington-blog.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Well Halloween is BIG over here as we just found out. Very BIG. Emma was invited to go out Trick or Treating with some friends from school and brought back a pretty large hoarde. All sorts of things from chocolate to chips (or should we say, crisps). The weather was great for a night like tonight and is still 15 degrees now (10:25pm). Couldn't ask for more on 31st October. Supposed to be down to 9 degrees high tomorrow though. Brrrr! Monday, October 29, 2007. Slow to begin wi...

Sunday, September 30, 2007. Obviously to wash the food down there must be plenty of.BEER! There were loads of other attractions there apart from food. Live music to keep you entertained and also a section selling all sorts of home made and craft items. After much deliberation, and believe us there was much, we chose this ribber. Got a full rack to share from Kentucky all the way from London Ontario. Was going to pick the local one but decided we could have theirs anytime. Until next time,. What they didn...

The Burlington Blog: December 2007
http://the-burlington-blog.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Well better late than never here's weekend's update. If we thought it couldn't get any deeper it did overnight Saturday and then carried on snowing all day Sunday. A predicted snow storm arrived from the south causing a little chaos and up to 2 feet of snow fell in places. The wind was quite strong too causing some drifts. Definitely feels like christmas now though. Thursday, December 6, 2007. Anyway the first proper snowfall of 2007 arrived last Saturday (1st December) whil...

Sunday, March 30, 2008. Bertin Riding Competition March 08. No pictures this time round. Couldn't see the point posting the same pictures each time. Soon the competition will move outside so we can get some more then. Quite a mixed bag this month with the points leader (see the website) coming in last and a couple of horses pulling up or dropping fences. Emma was riding Roscoe this time and had 2 clear rounds so was in the jump off. Make sure you check the Bertin website soon for the new placings. Rather...

All in aid of finishing elementary school and getting ready for the big move to high school. A showcase event set up like the Oscars to give out awards to worthy students and also a dance (disco) until late. See if you can guess who's who here. Great to be a part of it and we're both extremely proud of Emma. Roll on high school graduation. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, April 6, 2008. Boston Red Sox v Toronto Blue Jays. Yesterday we (but not the kids) went to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play the Boston Red Sox at the Rogers Centre in the heart of Toronto right next to the CN Tower. This was the first time ever to a baseball game as you can probably guess. We thought we had a welcome commitee when we arrived but was told this bloke is there playing the drums every game and is now an icon of the Blue Jays. Very funny and entertaining. Not wanting to miss the last ...
