Canned Ham Dreams: August 2013
http://cannedhamdreams.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 31, 2013. Two weeks away from the toil and trouble of work. Two weeks to relax and enjoy my life at home. And slightly away from home, in just a few days. Occasionally I go on a bit of a music binge. I won't drag you through everything that got me to this place, but I eventually hit upon this delightful montage of classic country music - so fitting to our vintage trailer lifestyle! Enjoy these lovely ladies! What driving music do you like? There's a clown in the video! He's still a bit n...

Skagit Valley Farmers: Minimize Farm Machinery Fire Risk
http://skagitvalleyfarmers.blogspot.com/2012/06/minimize-farm-machinery-fire-risk.html
Photo taken at Golden Glen Creamery / Jensen and Son Dairy in Bow, WA. Friday, June 1, 2012. Minimize Farm Machinery Fire Risk. Learning about farm safety is a BIG deal, way more than just being careful on and around farm equipment. My mind tends to wander driving tractors and gators even more than when I'm driving my car. I'm careful and vigilant but if a rig caught on fire would I know what to do? How fast could I put out a fire? I've never used a fire extinguisher. And support your local farmers.

Skagit Valley Farmers: DSHS has announced additional funding to help more WA State farmers markets accept EBT/SNAP benefit cards

Photo taken at Golden Glen Creamery / Jensen and Son Dairy in Bow, WA. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. DSHS has announced additional funding to help more WA State farmers markets accept EBT/SNAP benefit cards. Fewer than 1/4 of Farmers Markets nationwide are set up to accept EBT-SNAP cards so people who rely on EBT (formerly food stamps) aren't able to make purchases of healthy farm fresh foods directly from these farmers. Recent USDA funding. Here is the USDA Food and Nutrition Service SNAP Retail Locator.
