Naming A Blog Is Hard: The Final Thing!
http://23thingsaboutsteve.blogspot.com/2008/06/final-thing.html
Naming A Blog Is Hard. No, seriously. It is. Worse than Calculus 2. Friday, June 27, 2008. And so we've reached the end of this Journey of Things. OK, so I already knew about a lot of the stuff we covered in here. That being said, it forced me to use some of the things I was aware of, but never actually used. LibraryThing is pretty cool. Maybe I'll use it more in the future; maybe not. I know some people felt overwhelmed. I am several weeks behind the times with my own exploration of 23things, but I lear...

Librarian of the Wastes: June 2008
http://librarianofthewastes.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Librarian of the Wastes. Thursday, June 26, 2008. There's so much I wonder about the before time. Did robot librarians ever take off? Was there a need to mix and match hairstyles using the Electronic Brain? How did that ChaCha thing turn out? Who are the stone giants imprisoned in South Dakota? What is a McRib? Okay, I've put off dealing with the paper scorpions long enough. I think the Electronic Brain didn't like me using Zoho because the post looks like ass. Thursday, June 19, 2008. I mean, even back ...

Tsunami Dreams: August 2008
http://zobe66.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 14, 2008. I tried this stuff called tempeh ( temp -A not temp-uh) made from fermented beans ( sounds disgusting, but is actually really tasty). Tempeh delivers 16 grams of fiber in a mere 4oz. I ate some for dinner on a whole wheat bun. It was really good. Thank you Jen from Outreach for encouraging me to try this new food. Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Green Hummus and Orange Carrots. Tonight Anthony and I made green hummus. We had a great time pushing the spinach into the hole in the Cuisinart and watching the pale beige goop turn green. ( visualize whirled peas)I ate it with carrot sticks and Ant used his fingers . It was really tasty but instead of 5 cloves of garlic next time I'm going with 3. It was a bit too garlicky. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Librarian of the Wastes. Naming A Blog Is Hard: Mmm, del.icio.us!

Naming A Blog Is Hard. No, seriously. It is. Worse than Calculus 2. Thursday, June 5, 2008. Mmm, del.icio.us! I'm not sure how useful this kind of thing would be in a library with regards to assisting the public. I definitely see the use of it in making my own set of bookmarks that can be accessed for any computer. Perhaps I'll hang on to my account! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Naming A Blog Is Hard: May 2008

Naming A Blog Is Hard. No, seriously. It is. Worse than Calculus 2. Thursday, May 22, 2008. RSS feeds, bloglines, and you (and me too). Ah, RSS feeds. How useful you are! RSS is not a new thing for me; I already use an RSS reader to collect feeds from both library and game-related blogs. Well, I guess I can't really say that I. That being said, I was kind of confused that we are using Bloglines for this exercise because Google already has its own RSS reader called Google Reader. This is what I used w...

Thursday, May 29, 2008. Originally uploaded by zobe66. Here's a motivational poster I generated using a photo taken by Steve. We get a lot of children coming into the library after school to use the computers. They never seem to have their library cards with them so they have to ask staff for as many as 4 guest passes during their visit with us. Wouldn't it be great if we could offer lanyards as giveaways for the Summer Reading Program? Wednesday, May 28, 2008. According to Manolo's Shoe Blog. RPM - that...

Naming A Blog Is Hard: More LibraryThing
http://23thingsaboutsteve.blogspot.com/2008/06/more-librarything.html
Naming A Blog Is Hard. No, seriously. It is. Worse than Calculus 2. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. I played around with LibraryThing a bit more and added a bunch of new books to my list. I even added some comments to the books and rated most of them. I can see how this could get addictive. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
