Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. The last two weeks FLEW by! Hardly believe that two weeks have passed since POTUS and I became bosom buddies, because it seems like just yesterday. Yet SO much has happened. Allow me to catch up. Here's our FIVE year old. Can't believe it. Barbie was the big hit for the night. Alexander at age 17 is going to hate that I snapped this picture of him. But I love it! I was off to bed early...

http://nittanyhome.blogspot.com/2011/11/halloween-2011.html
Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. For the record, Halloween is not my favorite holiday. I never really bought into the scary element of Halloween and I don't like dressing up. But since having kids, I have enjoyed the excitement they have running about collecting candy in the dark. Silly me. After 5 full days of me lobbying for them to pick ANY costume at ANY store (for under $20), they held to their guns and flat out...

Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Saturday, April 20, 2013. Today was a good day. One for my memory scrapbook. Thus, I am finally updating the family blog. In the afternoon as I was milling about to figure out what to make for dinner, I decided on pasta. What to pair with the pasta? Clearly we would need more carbs - so off to make some italian bread. As I was getting the yeast to proof, CJ joined me in the kitchen to help. Lynch Pins and Needles.

Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Monday, June 27, 2011. Down by the Bay. This is our week vacation down on the Chesapeake Bay with my family. So far, I am relaxed, slightly tan, overfed, and starting to get curious as to where my children are. There isn't really a town to speak of in this area, so all of our activities are home-based and nice and chill. It's sublime. Here are a few of the highlights from the last few days:. Listening to my nephew,...

Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Tuesday, October 4, 2011. The Garden this year really had its trials and troubles. The Spring was tepid, but so much rain that it was near impossible to get into the garden to till. A few friends tried to forgo this step and just plant the seeds only to have them washed by heavy Spring rains into a puddle at one end of their garden plot. after every attempt. Two years ago we planted blueberry bushes too. Since ...

Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Friday, September 30, 2011. First Days of School. To date, I will definitely admit that we had the best summer as a family. The kids were a great age to run around and have fun, go to the pool and let me read a book (HEAVEN! And traveling was the easiest we have experienced. It was fabulous. Wonderful. But come August 30th, I was ready for them to head off to school! Okay, back to the kids. You may wonder whether o...

Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Monday, February 27, 2012. The kids' first professional hockey game sets the bar high. Arrived at the Consol Energy Arena, went to will call to pick up the tickets and proceeded to the Consol Energy Suite. Suh-WEET! For that I continue to search for the answer. But in the meantime, I live in the moment and soak in the joy these experiences with my family give me. Nothing like a gin&tonic or beer after a long drive.

Our Life in the Nittany Valley: March 2011

Our Life in the Nittany Valley. The ins and outs of days and nights in the Nittany Valley. Sunday, March 27, 2011. For the much anticipated "double sleep over" and Zack and I heading to NYC for our Mega-Date. Now that we had "saved" so much money on transportation and accommodations, we used plenty of money to eat REALLY well and catch the latest Broadway show. 3 For lunch, we met Zack's former colleague, Courtney, who now lives/works in NYC at Mesa Grill. This is Bobby Flay's signature restaurant...
