Gosh I get tired of cooking sometimes.I mean I LOVE to cook (haha just typed sook by mistake.oh the irony) but the kids endlessly changing palates exhaust me! Sure lasagna was great LAST week, but THIS week it's disgusting.*sigh*. Anywho, in terms of budget, things are pretty good - food wise - good thing this isn't Project: Incidental Spending O o. September 20, 2012. How Healthy Can You Afford to Be. But the initial bill is a shock. It seems to work out that if a splurge on making homemade goodies I don't buy the more expensive commercial alternative. I also find myself trying to make a mental spreadsheet of groceries. For example I try to keep track of which store has the cheapest almond milk. I really want to make an actual spreadsheet of these things, but that seems like a huge project and I don't know what good it would do me. Six Dollars a Day.

August 15, 2012. Butterflies and Ice Baths. I am looking at myself as a butterfly these days. Shopping, recipes, food costs, and menus consume me. I cannot figure out why this is! Oh, I know. cause I'm a Health Coach. I am trying hard to feed my family healthy on a budget. I coach people on how to eat healthier. But I myself am struggling, and I realize how hard it is, to feed a family with little kids in this fast paced life cheaply with food they will eat. Kids can be picky. really? Slow down and plan.
