Stitchin' Therapy: Making scraps
http://stitchintherapy.blogspot.com/2015/08/making-scraps.html
Tutorial Design a Watercolor Quilt. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Instead of tossing my scraps- -leftover strips, binding, and a few hunks- -into the scrap bin last week, I set them aside. At week's end, this is what I had! A little more stitching on the table runner. This is a corner. It is an awkward shape to fill in. So once the small feather reached the narrow section, I added a swirl at the top with an extra outline. I like the look of this. Yep, that sounds about right.I was always the one who did ...

Amity Quilter: July 2014
http://amityquilter.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Last Finish in Oregon and taking a break from blogging. The quilt was backed with a luscious French General print I found on sale recently, and I have to say that I almost prefer the back to the front! The batting is Hobbs Tuscany 100% premium polyester, which is more dense and thicker than their polydown batting. After using both, my personal preference is the polydown, although this quilt has a nice soft feel and great loft for the feather borders. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Celebra...

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Merrily we plod along . Progress is being made, for the moment, on piecing scrappy baskets for this as yet unnamed bed-size quilt. As of tonight, a grand total of eleven have been completed. Here are the baskets made since my post last week:. They sure do look bright, don't they? Next batch, I'll photograph them on the setting triangles fabric and we'll see if that tones them down a bit, or not. Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Tried a few shots outside but the colors were. Way too washe...

Amity Quilter: February 2015
http://amityquilter.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 20, 2015. That table in the middle of the room is my all-purpose surface, for ironing, cutting, moving behind the Janome for FMQ, and currently spreading all the tax forms and receipts for the annual agony of tax prep. I love looking at this little quilt remnant, so bright and cheery. My view of the side yard. I finished the additional hand quilting on the vintage 1980s(? Dresden plate quilt I picked up last year. Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Campfire Memories is officially finished, right down to the label added just before supper last night! This was such a fun quilt to put together, so much scrappy goodness here, bringing back memories of nearly every quilt I've made over the past twenty or so years, blog giveaway winnings, yard-sale finds, plus other bits of fabric that found their way into the stash totes along the way. Tried a few shots outside but the colors were. Magazine (July/August 2013) in which Marianne ...

Amity Quilter: Earlier Quilts
http://amityquilter.blogspot.com/p/earlier-quilts.html
Click on any of the photos to enlarge. My very first "real" quilt, made during a beginner's quilting class at the local community college a couple months after my daughter's birth. I took her along to classes with me. This started as a small applique sample for the class, and then kept growing. Totally my design, cardboard cereal box templates for the applique and quilting designs. Hand quilted. Completed 1983-84. The four oldest grandchildren are all boys, and sad to say, with working full time-plus hou...

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Love Notes. Scratch That. Dove Notes. I believe after yesterday's. Poking fun at the mourning doves, they have all been busy early this morning leaving me little "love notes"? No, wait, scratch that, they've been leaving "Dove Notes". Of course! I wish I was better at bird hieroglyphics. I have a sneaky suspicion they're telling me they're not as dumb as they look! This is the best I could decipher from the little symbols . let me know if you see something different. Every day ...

Sewjo | Green Truck Stitching
https://greentruckstitching.wordpress.com/2015/03/29/sewjo
March 29, 2015. March 29, 2015. The sewjo just hasn’t been there lately between parenting and work. I have the projects lined up, just not the motivation to do them. I did teach my friends to make a quilt top last weekend. Next time they are over, we will do quilting and binding. I did find some motivation to knock out the summer in the park top. My daughter wants to give this to her school aide. A spring splurge →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Tim Lati...
