4U – Ecology Alaska. 4U was captured on the morning of November 5th, 2013 using a net launcher. After capture he spent the early part of the winter near Juneau, Alaska. He died in early January, 2014. We were able to retrieve his body and the transmitter. It appeared he died of starvation, as he had very little body fat when he was found.
