When Wil was younger, every once in a while I would get a slight twinge of jealousy when I saw another boy his age run and move so easily and swiftly. Now, when I watch Wil throw a softball, I’m filled with as much joy as if he hit 1000 home runs. Ironically, I would never know this kind of joy if he so easily and swiftly hit 1000 home runs.
