http://churchandsociety.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 9 August 2016. Why am I Leaving my Church After 20 Years? Meet M, a good friend of mine. He’s a thoughtful guy and a good preacher. Recently, over breakfast, he talked about how he’d left his church. His comments were carefully and thoughtfully expressed. I felt he put words to what a lot of my wife Jeanette and my older Christian friends (and some younger) have been saying about their church experiences around NZ. 8220;Why am I leaving my church after 20 years? Right; my church problem was like.

Church and Society: ISIS | Climate Change | Colin Craig
http://churchandsociety.blogspot.com/2016/09/isis-climate-change-colin-craig.html
Thursday, 29 September 2016. ISIS Climate Change Colin Craig. This month I would like to touch on three subjects quite briefly. Many of you will know that last year in June I hosted Dr Mark Durie on a NZ tour called Understanding Islam. We had a very good response, and it generated a lot of interest as you would expect. Mark is a highly recognised western expert on Islam. Since the tour we have seen so many more ISIS-inspired terroris t. It is widely agreed that ISIS is Islamic. However, what I am not.

Church and Society: April 2016
http://churchandsociety.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 7 April 2016. Over the last 2-3 years I have had the incredible privilege of meeting a lot of pastors and Christian leaders from right across the denominational (and non-denominational) spectrum. I have also interacted with a growing number of Christian marketplace leaders who are seeking to advance the Kingdom of God in their respective spheres around NZ. As I've talked read and listened I've noticed a recurring theme which goes something like this:. So my conclusion about all this is:. So, lo...

Church and Society: Twenty Minutes of Action
http://churchandsociety.blogspot.com/2016/06/twenty-minutes-of-action.html
Thursday, 23 June 2016. Twenty Minutes of Action. Dear Christian Parent (and all parents who may get to read this). I guess this phrase— “twenty minutes of action”. Will forever be etched on our minds, not in a positive or even neutral context, but in a destructive and dehumanising one. Let me re-cap the context briefly. One night in January 2015,.
