Reflections. And no regrets. Mom and Aunt Alvina with me, about 5 years ago. At this time of the year, like many, I am reflecting on the past year and thinking about the future. What have I learned? What will the new year hold? What would/will I change? I lost my mom. This year. And my aunt. I was able to hold Alvina’s hand and feel her strength as she took her last breath. I laugh with Dad as he teases his caregivers with a new, exploding toy; and understand when he says, I sure miss Mom and Alvina.
