Summer Abroad: Day 21
http://mikellsullivan-summerabroad.blogspot.com/2007/07/day-21.html
Sunday, July 1, 2007. Today we went to Versailles. What a massive place! The only bummer is that we were all so exhausted and we had the most up-tight, mean, old, and not to mention, boring, tour guide! It was great though to finally see some fabulous interiors! I’m sure the gardens would have been my favorite ones if it wasn’t freezing cold and raining the whole time. Afterwards we went to the Eiffel Tower and went all the way to the top! The Hall of Mirrors. It was just re-opened yesterday!

Summer Abroad: GOING HOME!
http://mikellsullivan-summerabroad.blogspot.com/2007/07/going-home.html
Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Getting home was quite the task. We woke up and left florence at 6:00 am, between all our luggage, all the transportation, customs, and delays we finally made back to Salt Lake 27 hours later! What a trip though. I would be lying if I said I was glad to be back. I learned so much about culture, art, architecture, art, design, and history. I can't wait to go back! This trip helped me realize how important it is to travel and learn. Thanks Darrin! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Today was a busy day. We woke up and went to Versailles. It was beautiful but it wasn't what I expected. I liked all of the side houses that we saw better than the actual Versailles. After Versailles Jess, Breanne, Chance, Linds, Keysha, Chels, and Cassie went to the Eiffel Tower. We went all the way to the top of it! It was so windy and cold though but the view from the top was amazing. After that we got crepes, which were absolutely delicious! Church of the Sacred Heart. Europe 2007: July 3

Saturday, July 7, 2007. We spent most of today shopping and wandering around Florence. We saw the Duomo. It was very different from all of the other churches that we have seen. The shopping there was pretty good. At the market everything is basically the same and it is just a lot of bargaining with the owners. It was very fun though. This is a replica of the David but this is where it used to stand. Jess and I in front of the Duomo. These doors are really famous but I forgot what they are called.

Wednesday, July 4, 2007. Today we woke up early and were off to Florence. When we arrived in Florence we showered and got something to eat. We went to this little restaurant that the hotel consieur recommended. It was really good but we got 2 courses that were really really filling. For the rest of the day we just wheeled and dealed our way through Florence and all of the shopping there. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Friends on the Euro Adventure.
