Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. I saw this picture and thought, this is so me. I'm so often guilty of thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Ok so first of all I have to admit that I totally stole this idea from another blog, one of my recent favorites. But as soon as I saw it and read through it ( a few times) I knew I had to post it for myself. We are having a little get together at our house tomorrow to make valentines and heart cookies, so most of today was spent:. 1) making sugar cookie dough with madison and aubrie ( which as we know means it took much longer than it should have). 2) letting the dough chill. 3) cleaning up the extreme mess that making the dough made in the kitchen. I hope we get a lot so we can play in the snow this year. (I was disappointed last year). Bangor festival of lights Parade. Jessica and Luke were in the lights parade this year. So much to be thankful for always but this Thanksgiving was even more special because we were all together again. Glen was deployed last year for the holidays. We got right back into our traditions and frying a turkey is Glens FAVORITE thing to do on Thanksgiving, so thats what we did. It was a quiet and less stressed Thanksgiving with just Glen, Me, and the Kids! Of course the turkey was delicious:)!
