http://www.motheringwithmindfulness.com/2015/08/around-here.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. The summer days have been so good around here lately, and I couldn't be happier. Mother Nature has blessed us with a good mixture of rain and sunshine, and the gardens are thriving. Beans are still rolling in, cucumbers are coming in too, and did you see those tomatoes? We are moving into a bit of quiet period in our home for the next few weeks, before a friend. How are things where you are? August 7, 2015 at 4:14 AM. August 7, 2015 at 4:48 PM. Thank you Sandra, that means so much...

homestead – a little crafty nest
http://alittlecraftynest.com/category/homestead
Welcome home, jack. February 17, 2017. As happens around here, we tend to make semi-spontaneous decisions about our four-legged arrivals. Six weeks ago, I would have laughed if you told me we would have a fourth (! Dog on our homestead. Afterall, we have just 5 acres that is focused on my little fibre flock of sheep. And four dogs….really, now. That seems ridiculous. Within just a few weeks, this little pup seems to fit in just fine with all the other critters and humans around here. He’s a kee...What a ...

Saturday, May 30, 2015. A photo of my little man, once a week, every week, in 2015". For the 52 Project. Thursday, May 28, 2015. Ah, the garden. I am finding much peace in the garden these days, from my early morning walks checking in on everything, to time planting, and harvesting, to sitting back at the end of the day, exhausted but happy after a day in the garden.these are good days, my friends, good days. Reece ran out to his garden. They were a month old yesterday and they are growing like crazy....

Mothering with Mindfulness : April 2015
http://www.motheringwithmindfulness.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. If all goes well I will have some early flowers, which makes my so very happy. Peas have been planted, in succession, two weeks apart, and there are still two more succession plantings to do. And this past weekend one of the raised beds was planted with kale, Swiss chard, beets and more salad greens, and covered with a row cover to help with germination, and to protect the seeds and early sprouts from the chickens, who like to scratch around in my gardens. Oh, and one last excit...

Monday, August 10, 2015. We had no big plans for the weekend, and settled in for a few slow and simple days. We began with a trip to the market on Saturday morning. It's peach season around here, and we stocked up with both peaches and nectarines, to eat fresh and to freeze. We visited with a few friends at the market, and then headed over to a lovely vegan restaurant. How was your weekend? August 10, 2015 at 3:34 AM. August 10, 2015 at 7:16 AM. The earth is alive right now, with hope, and so much magic, and every day it calls to me, in a gentle whisper to come, come and feel the magic. And every day I give myself the time and space to listen to her call, to accept the invitation, and to live at her pace. Saturday, March 28, 2015. A photo of my little man, once a week, every week, in 2015". For the 52 Project. Thursday, March 26, 2015.

Mothering with Mindfulness : Summer Swap Fun
http://www.motheringwithmindfulness.com/2015/08/summer-swap-fun.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. Well, that rain I was so hoping for arrived on Friday evening, about twenty minutes before my outdoor summer swap party was to begin. It always works out that way, doesn't it? Luckily though, as my guests arrived, the rain cleared and we were treated to a double rainbow. Now that was a great way to start an evening. I love these swaps, and I have to thank the lovely Amanda. For sharing her experiences with them. It was Amanda who inspired my first handmade/homemade swap party.

ten months later – a little crafty nest
http://alittlecraftynest.com/knitting/ten-months-later
March 23, 2016. After ten months of knitting (a little here, a little more there), the Danish Tie Wrap Shawl is off the needles and on the shoulders two sets of shoulders, that is! However, I do find a few moments here and there which amounts to maybe fifteen stitches at a time, usually. Someone else has spied this shawl…she’s giving me her best big smile to see if we can share…I do believe she’s a little hard to resist, this girl of mine. Joining Ginny and others doing the Yarn-Along, here. I’d sa...
