Popgun Volume 3 - 'The Last Voyage'. March 25th, 2009. Graeme's Fantasy Book Review. 2010 Eisner Award Winner - Best Anthology. I have a short story in volume three of this insanely huge and well done anthology, called "The Last Voyage". My hopes are that it introduces some characters that have quite a few adventures ahead of them. Here's the description from Amazon.com. Fablewood Vol. 1 - 'The Spirits and The Woods'. February 20th, 2008. Wednesday is My Sabbath. Ain't it Cool News. It's a contained expl...

Scott Hallett | Sketchbook: Ghost King

Posted By Scott Hallett. At 5/06/2015 5:17 PM. The colour scheme was not what I thought I was starting out to use. I am trying to stay away from the 'safe' scheme I end up defaulting too. This has a bit of that, but I think I pushed myself out of my comfort zone at least a little bit. Just need to keep pushing it further. Links to this post. Inktober Week 2 (and 3.). You know what they say about intentions, right? At any rate, here we are now approaching the end of November, but I haven't given up! Links to this post. Inktober Week 2 (and 3.). This one really sort of went sideways in terms of what I thought I was going to do with colors and what I actually did. A small Inktober 2014 illustration with some out-of-left-field colors for good measure. No story here on the character; I like ghosts, I think that much is clear.

Scott Hallett | Sketchbook: Koru (Future)

Posted By Scott Hallett. At 12/05/2014 7:33 PM. Moving on with adding colours to the Inktober pieces. This was the second one I did I believe. It's a more realistic/futuristic/cybernetic take on my character Koru from my short comics story, "The Spirits and The Woods". I tried a new to me inking approach and was generally pleased with the way it turned out. Links to this post. Inktober Week 2 (and 3.). New Storefront Open at society6.com. Inktober Week 2 (and 3.). Posted By Scott Hallett. At 10/21/2014 5:11 PM. So technically today would mark the end of Inktober week three, but I currently only have two weeks worth of drawings. A few busy weekends, a Canadian Thanksgiving, and a paying illustration gig have all conspired against my best intentions. I have not given up though, and this still remains my most successful Inktober to date. What I've Learned So Far. I think I solved my issues scanning marker/ink wash files! I'm not a fan of the...

I was lucky enough to be a part of this incredible coffee table book, compiling artwork and interpretations of Usagi Yojimbo, all to benefit creator Stan Sakai and his wife Sharon to help them through some recent medical expenses. And produced in association with the Comics Art Professional Society (CAPS). Links to this post. Sandor (The Hound) Clegane. Experimenting with Digital Inks (Again).

Posted By Scott Hallett. At 11/13/2014 11:47 AM. Just like that, the first two weeks of November escape me! Next year, I'd like to try and output a cohesive story or set of images. A few of the artists that I follow did that, and it was great watching that play out over the month. Up next for me is perhaps some more paid illustration work (which I can't show you) and adding some colours to the Inktober pieces I really enjoyed! Links to this post. Inktober Week 2 (and 3.). Scott Hallett | Sketchbook: Inktober Week 4
http://blog.scottmhallett.com/2014/10/inktober-week-4.html
Posted By Scott Hallett. At 10/28/2014 4:13 PM. More than likely, I'm not going to make it to 31 drawings by this Friday. That being said, I'm currently at 20 drawings of varying success and quality, and if I had to stop today (I don't plan to, but you never know what life will throw you), I'd call this Inktober a success! My art output has been very light as of late, so producing 20 drawings in 28 days is a win in my book, especially considering I am proud of (most of) them. What I've Learned So Far.
