Fiction for kids - words for thought

What are words for thought? From time to time, I write stories for kids, mostly picture book texts. The quality has improved over the years, thanks to conferences sponsored by The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. And talented critique partners and services. Most recently, I worked with Laura Douglas-Marquit, the founder of Joyful Movement, a health and wellness practice in Northern California, on the copy for a new website. The focus is on health and wellness coaching for individuals and organizations, which includes fitness, healing, stress reduction, and work transition.

When the good people at the wildlife department of the Peninsula Humane Society gave me a baby jackrabbit to foster, they told me how and when to feed her (twice a day, dawnish and duskish) and how much (based on her weight, which I would hopefully be able to determine with the scale they loaned me). For over 15 years, I worked as a freelance marketing writer and editor, mostly for growing technology companies and a few creative clients. It's a very flexible and challenging way to earn a living.
