What I Don't Know. I know what I should do. I know what I shouldn’t. I know I’ve made it before. I know I can do it again. I know the consequences. I know people care. I know it won’t help. I know it would help for a moment. I know I want to feel better. I know my scars have healed. I know I don’t need more.

It’s so painful. And wanting to help. But not being able to. And then hurt again. She doesn’t learn. What is there to do. But watch and wait? Someday she will learn. Not to play with fire. But until that day. All there is to do is watch. And wince with her. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

This is a psalm I wrote for an assignment in a class I'm taking this summer. Why, O Lord, have you turned your face from your people? Do you not hear our pleas for mercy? All day the faithful cry out in anguish,. And the righteous grieve all the night. How long will you remain distant,. Who will not let the faithful ...

Wednesday, 5 August 2015. A POEM - GOODBYE EGYPT. Like a lover, Egypt, you have broken my heart so many times. I ate your sand, your molakeya, your dates. Your hot winds burned me. I plunged your Red Sea. Touched its coral gardens,. Its brash neon fish,. Watched stars sink into your deserts,. When your people marched – one voice in chains,. Caught hems on barbed wire nests,. Walked with cats through silent curfews. Around barriers up, your guns pointing. In twilight's pale, I watched your pigeons,. I hav...

Words From Away | love guiding me home…
Love guiding me home…. August 1, 2015. In this place I grew up, with people I have always known,. But I have no life built here yet. With people you’ve never know. But that too quickly becomes known and familiar. And full of regular life. No matter where I go. I will always be yearning to feel settled and in awe. February 3, 2015.

Words from a Willingham. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Little Bit's First Hike. Avery was six weeks old last Thursday, and with the doctor's clearance to exercise we decided it was time to take Little Bit for her very first hike. So Jacob and I loaded the car with snacks, water, baby carriers, Grayson and Avery and headed to Dupont this past Saturday. When we reached the top little bit was hungry. As I sat nursing Avery with my back to the trail, watching Jacob hand Grayson snacks, listening to the water...
