Thoughts from a woman of a Certain Age. Does it stop you from reading if I say I’m content? Does content mean complacent to you? If it does, I’ve chosen the wrong word. I picture ‘content’ as a fullness, complacency as a suspension of desire. I am definitely the former. Most mornings when I get up, I’m relatively pain-free and I run through a menu of the things I can choose to do. I’m seldom obligated to do any of them. Is this free choice?
