Cleopatra's River - lirath1

Cleopatra's River - lirath1. 06:49 pm May 1st, 2007. How can they not see it? I hear of lines at the gas stations. 'There have been lines before, so it's no big deal.'. I hear of delays at the Ambassador Bridge. 'There were delays right after 9/11, and that got better.'. Or Leave a comment. Comment by WWO mitchtrix. May 2nd, 2007 06:33 am (UTC). Your definatell not alone, I've been trying to warn people over here in the UK about what will soon take off in a big way. Or Leave a comment.

And he turns to me and Grace, and he shrugs his shoulders and says "guess I'll have to quit" So there's one good thing that's come out of this mess. It feels like we're gearing up for a wicked storm instead of preparing for a life without oil, but it's all we can do right now. May 2nd, 2007 06:28 am (UTC). Stay strong for Grace and you'll get through it :).

blackouts and tanker crashes - miawithoutoil
http://miawithoutoil.livejournal.com/1263.html
Blackouts and tanker crashes. May 7th, 2007 at 4:44 PM. Turns out I couldn't phone dad on skype. We had a blackout Saturday like this one in London. Was a little frustrating to be without the internet, just as I'd started getting interested in finding out just what was going on with this oil crisis. The gig I was going to see next month for my 16th birthday has been cancelled. Jonah Matranga said he couldn't afford the air fare to get out to the UK. I was really looking forward to that. Of course, though...

Speaking to dad, Uncle Andy and shouting out. May 8th, 2007 at 3:49 PM. Finally, I stole time when mum wasn't around and dad was online. phoned him on Skype and he seemed surprised to hear my voice. Hello Mia," he said, "does your mum know you're calling? No," I said. She was next door with Greg again but I didn't tell him that. "I just wanted to see how you were doing, with the oil crisis and all.". He sounded puzzled. "I wouldn't worry about that.". Alright dad," I said. The call hung up. What ...I als...

Concern for a friend and coming of age in a world without oil - miawithoutoil

Concern for a friend and coming of age in a world without oil. May 11th, 2007 at 7:28 PM. I'm not sure that's anything to celebrate right now judging by all that's happening around the world - mostly in America. But it's me not being a child anymore. I've been feeling really awkward looking at all the stuff going on and knowing I can't do anything because i'm 'just a kid'. Well, I'm still young but I'm getting closer to the point that I can do something. At least some good news. But the wind up radio wil...

A lack of food and an overabundance of trouble - miawithoutoil
http://miawithoutoil.livejournal.com/3450.html
A lack of food and an overabundance of trouble. May 13th, 2007 at 6:10 PM. I've watched in horror at the reports coming in from the world via wwo the last few weeks. The US seems to be falling apart so fast, with all the shootings and riots and blackouts. It's been so much quieter in the UK that I assumed we were ok, that it wasn't as bad. I made a mistake. And there's going to have to be a massive rethink if we're to feed the 60 million people that call Great Britain their home. We can still get food bu...

News Items from the Heights. My Crazy Neighbor - wwo mordy. 01 May 2007 @ 05:31 am. You're not going to believe this. Remember when I said my neighbor has started waking up very early in order to get to work in time? My mouth must've hung out a little, because he looked put off and asked me what was wrong. Obviously I indicated the drums of oil and he laughed. Seems he got involved in some speculative investments, and he figures that if the information I've been telling him is right, he should st...Plus,...

Staying positive and a new prime minister. May 9th, 2007 at 10:48 AM. Now that school's out, me and Jodie and Alun decided we'd go plant some vegetables! We got some rocket, basil and lettuce seeds for now. I'll try and get some pictures whilst we plant them over the next few days and weeks. Mum said it's a bit late in the year but at least we're doing something! I wanna make these. I accept your challenge! If i can find some old tires, I'm gonna give it a go! Has had some deaths, Romania. Brown was swor...
