Type 1 Diabetic Resources. A collection of hepful links and information. There is lots of information on the internet. Here is a few sites that might help. Parenting Kids with Diabetes http:/ www.parentingdiabetickids.com/. I love this site. It is a great resource. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Http:/ www.jdrf.org. The website is an excellent resource for newly diagnosed type 1 diabetics to get educated and to learn about research that is being done to find a cure. What not to say!

JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) funds a large majority of diabetes research every year. But they need raise money in order to continue their work in finding a cure, so they have an annual walk at Oaks Park in Portland. This year we had a team and it was a great success. Life with Type 1. Jordyn's life everyday until there is a cure. Before 8 am: Test and then Breakfast. 8:20 am: Off to school. 9:30 am: Test and then snack. 11:30 am: Test and then Lunch. 1:30 pm: Test and then snack. 3:30 pm: Test and then snack. 4:30 pm: Picked up from school. 5:30 pm: Test and then Dinner. 8 pm: Test and then snack. 9 pm: Make Lunch and label it for the next day. 10 pm: Test while she is asleep. 12 am: Test again and if her blood sugar level is around 200 mg/dL go to bed.
