Greetings from Seville
Tuesday, February 07, 2006. What a busy time we've had. Sara's mum had generously arranged an apartment for us in Seville for Christmas. We left the boat in Chipiona and travelled by bus to Seville for a month on dry land. Outside behind the rear entrance running up to Christmas glass fronted temporary shops display all manner of nativity characters for you to purchase. This is something the locals take very seriously; we witnessed one lady with a tape measure checking if the proposed purchase would ...

Gibraltar
Tuesday, February 14, 2006. As we passed Tarifa and turned into the Straits of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean our GPS clocked 2000 miles since leaving the UK. Quite a milestone for us and an appropriate place to be returning to a part of England, but we still don't want to come home, yet! The following morning there it was larger than life, The Rock. Or east towards Malaga, Estapona and the Costa Del Sol. Best of all is the view south to Morocco and the Atlas mountains 30 miles distant. Nearly 4 weeks i...

Originally we had planned to take an organised trip to Morocco from Algeciras in Spain (near Gibraltar) but - -indecisive tour operators and local advice had Masala and Nadine headed to Smir ‘Morocco bound'. We left our bags at the bus station, and discovered the difference between the price of a cab for locals and tourists. We took two ‘Petit Taxi', knackered old Fiat Uno diesels...
