sallymomsprouts: September 2014
http://sallymomsprouts.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
What is possible if we but believe? Sunday, September 28, 2014. Jerome treated me to a day out for my birthday. We agreed on Dubuque, Iowa with stops along the return trip. Our weather couldn't have been more agreeable. First stop, an all volunteer garden. That just keeps getting better as the years pass. I told her I had applied for Medicare recently and that we'd been married for 42 years. We had lunch at Vinny Vanucchi's Little Italy. Just up the street there was Yarn Soup. Along the road home Jerome'...

Aviva In Dairyland: March 2014
http://avivaindairyland.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 16, 2014. Let's make 30 into 31: Wisconsin and Iowa yarn crawl. As I've mentioned before, I'm a knitter. Drinkers do pub crawls, and knitters do yarn crawls. Last weekend, my knitter friend Kat and I did our own two-state yarn crawl so that we could get me to Iowa and of course, shop! First stop: The Sow's Ear. The Sow's Ear was once a house, but now it's the best yarn shop in town. I love its warm, welcoming look. A great small-town yarn shop. My yarn purchase: marled Cascade yarn. I'm...

nuttinbutknittin - ok, Sofee,BG1 and 2: Acquisitions.....
http://nuttinbutknittin.blogspot.com/2013/10/acquisitions.html
Nuttin but knittin" - that says it all, with an occasional deviation into the real world. Sunday, October 20, 2013. Besides some finished objects, I have a few acquisitions to share in this post. I doubt there will be a long line of folks wanting to join in on my new items, but just the same.I want to share! First off, remember these chairs? Where I picked up some nice wool/alpaca blends. One skein has some llama in it also. Fun yarns that will be knit in to uper-warm woolies! Another knitted gift was a ...

lili: Tuesday is the new Saturday
http://livingtheimagined.blogspot.com/2015/07/tuesday-is-new-saturday.html
Saturday, July 18, 2015. Tuesday is the new Saturday. Since I have to work almost every weekend, my "weekend" is sometimes a Tuesday afternoon. Luckily, I have friends and family who don't work 9-5 Monday - Friday either! This week, my friend and I drove up to Dubuque. The closest "big city", which is about 30 minutes away), and wandered through the cute shops on Main Street. The first stop was Jitterz Coffee and Cafe. I had the spicy black bean burger, and it was delicious! Just like City Lights. Tidbit...

lili: July 2015
http://livingtheimagined.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Old chandeliers can be found anywhere for almost nothing - garage sales, auctions, thrift stores. I found this one at a flea market. Originally $20, marked down to $8, I paid $5. I was lucky - the woman was determined to sell it THAT DAY and I showed up late. Sometimes it pays to go late in the day. Yes, some of the "good" stuff will be gone. But good is in the eye of the beholder. I'd been looking for an old chandelier since I'd started seeing things like this on Pinterest.

This Area is Full of Scarf: May 2012
http://thfiberworks.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
This Area is Full of Scarf. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Progress is being made! A couple weeks ago I posted the Ocean Spray shawl I was working on. I had just finished row 58 on it. Today, I finished row 101 so I thought I would post another progress report. I didn't post a progress report between rows 58 and 101 because all of the work between those two points is exactly the same, knitting with 4 yarn overs and then purling on the backside. So here is what I have so far. Stay tuned for more! Purple, purple a...
