Saturday, August 28, 2010. Throughout the whole semester in this Theories of Architecture class, I think I have better understanding on what is architecture about. At the beginning of this semester, frankly speaking, I was quite excited to know what does this subject about. Nevertheless, when we were being told that basically this subject is about writing essays and blog them, I was so disappointed that I hate writing essays. The first reason is my English writing level is the same as my poor aural.

Sunday, June 27, 2010. Man, God, Nature, Architecture. In Heidegger’s philosophy, he defines the world as fourfold, which is earth (building), sky (nature), mortal (man) and divinities (god). In determining the relationship between man and god in the context of dwelling, Heidegger used Greek temple as an example. That is truth, without god in a temple, it is no longer a temple but a building. Temple accumulates people from different places because it encloses the figure of god, depending on each belief.
