York Art Society Workshops. How to Join YAS. York Art Society schedules both artist-led and self-help workshops each year. Artist-led workshops offer a chance to receive one to one tuition within a small group. York Art Society Demonstrations. How to Join YAS. York Art Society meets regularly at Christchurch Hall , Stockton Lane, York for practical demonstrations of a variety of media and techniques. Demonstrations are held ten times per year, usually on the second Saturday of the month. These sessions are free to members or 5 to guests. They generally last between two and three hours with a break for refreshments. Remaining programme schedule for the summer is displayed to the right. Saturday, 11th March.

York Art Society Exhibitions. How to Join YAS. York Art Society generally holds at least one annual exhibition in a prestigious York venue, typicaly lasting a week. All members are entitled to submit up to four entries for a modest hanging fee. The next major event is our 204th Spring Exhibition, once again at the De Grey Rooms, a stunning period building in the heart of our city, just opposite the Art Gallery and next door to the Theatre Royal. A reminder that our colleagues at Newton on Ouse are having their spring exhibition over the May day bank holiday weekend - Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th May. Lots of original work by members will be on display and for sale in the village hall, Newton on Ouse. There will also be a range of cards and other bargains for sale in 'the Back Room'.
